He's too busy packing crappy boxes for A1 to come back on here.0

Purchased a set of boxes that where supposed to arrive the next day, two days later, nothing had arrived and my emails had been ignored. I phoned and got a very rude lady on the phone who claimed to be the owner who didn't offer a solution nor an apology. You can get much cheaper and better service on Ebay. Avoid.0

I just ordered some boxes from them. My impression of the site is that it is awful and barely works, but they are promising next day delivery and I do need the boxes quite urgently. It said that if the order is under £36.99 then free delivery is not included. I didn't need that many boxes, so I ordered £27's worth and I figured I'd just pay for delivery.
On the order page the only available option for delivery was "FREE DELIVERY £0.00" so naturally I selected that and figured that they had a special offer or something.
After ordering I got redirected to a 403 access denied page and received no email from them confirming the order. After a couple of hours I got a voicemail (my phone didn't ring for some reason) asking to call them because of a problem with the order.
I spoke to the receptionist lady who said that I should have paid for shipping. I said that the website had no option to pay for shipping, so I just completed the order with what was available. She told me with great sarcasm that the website clearly says that if an order is under £36.99 that you should phone them to complete it. I had to either pay an extra £7.99 over the phone or get a refund, but I needed the boxes so I paid it.
I find it bizarre that the website accepts orders which will not be shipped. Why not just add two shipping options; FREE DELIVERY FOR ORDERS OVER £36.99 and £7.99 DELIVERY FOR ORDERS UNDER £36.99. It's not that difficult.0 -
I ordered from them, and had to chase up the delivery with a call but it did turn up. The boxes weren't great quality but it was cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
mad4boxes has a lot of similarities to a1box.co.uk - similar domain with name, very similar language with the clearance boxes, mentions TV shows that have used them, only positive customer comments, free delivery threshold is similar.0 -
The boxes arrived. They're OK, but nothing special. I was expecting them to be better quality than supermarket boxes, but they're not really. And you can't bend the flaps backwards without the card splitting.0

Alas, I only found this thread after trying to buy boxes from this shower of cowboys. I chose them specifically because of their "guaranteed next day delivery". Of course, the boxes didn't turn up the next day. When I contacted A1Box, I was told the courier had attempted delivery at 12.05pm and left a card. He hadn't of course. What he did was ring my landline and, on not getting an answer (because the phone rang out before I could get to it), decided he wasn't going to come to my address to attempt delivery. A1Box then told it was my problem and I'd have to contact the courier. Which I did. And they again failed to deliver the boxes on the specified date, despite the driver apparently having "just entered my postcode" when I rang to find out what was happening.
Following the second failure to deliver, I emailed A1Box to cancel my order and request a refund (I paid through PayPal). They have, for the last week, ignored all my contact attempts through email, ignored PayPal's contact attempts (I have opened a dispute via PayPal) and have failed to refund my money.
My advice to anyone even remotely thinking og using this company: DON'T!!! They are a shower of cowboys and you will come to regret it.0
