TBH I am not normally so stupid but I ordered something as well.
It was £20 cheaper than Curry's. ( which I have just done a click and collect order for so will be leaving shortly to pick up )
It is now the 23rd and it has still not arrived. I have spoken to my bank and let them know. Rules of long distances sales etc. They have said that as it has not arrived in the specified time I can cancel. I must request a refund and then after 14 days if it has not been refunded they will raise a dispute and I will be refunded.
In a word not a good way to do business. My mistake, and kicking myself now. What is it my mum used to say, penny wise pound foolish or the other way around I can never remember but !!!! |
The credit card processing companies are very naughty to let this happen as scam or not it will be them who will end up having to foot the bill when everyone claws the money back.
So wrong!Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -
Oddly enough I was considering buying some headphones for xmas, as not only were they the cheapest, no other UK supplier had stock of this model.
That alone rang alarm bells, so I did lots of diligence:
I called them but there were 26 people ahead of me in the queue.
I tweeted them and they replied
I facebooked them and they replied
I emailled and they replied
I googled for horror stories and there weren't many
I checked the website and it looked pretty good but "Maybe want to enquire" rang a bell on the contact page
I looked them up on companies house and found they were a brand new company
I googled the address of the company and the directors
One quick streetview of the outside of that poxy shop and I was done.
I decided it looked like a duck and quacked like a duck. So it's a scam.0 -
I disagree.
As long as there are enough gullible people prepared to shower money on these people, if you're prepared to take a minimal risk of prosecution it's an excellent way to do business.
What's excellent about it exactly?
Short term buck with no credible plans for sustainability.
Great they'll be rich this month, next month as poor as folk.
Ye great business0 -
