Ryanair 4 pound check in charge? Must book tonight!

  • Hmm, if I was using a Nationwide debit card (which I wasn't) this would be better if the customer paid in Euros than pounds as in both cases the system charges 0.01 + 9.99 (pounds or euros) and Nationwide wouldn't charge for purchasing in another currency unlike Halifax!

Would be great if Ryanair let you select the currency you wished to be charged in.

To avoid fees that were not even applicable I've had to book in a very round about way.

Ryanair think I'm checking in 'online' from Milan to Stansted yet their T&Cs don't allow online check ins from Italy! Their website used to prevent this from occuring however didn't this time.

I need to contact Ryanair. What do you think they will do about it?

I booked a return flight for a friend to Alicante, she is very uncomp savvy and I assumed that checkin online would only need to be done this end (Other airline I have used works that way, I should have checked)

Will she be able to check in at the airport on return?

Yes she will but I think there is a £2 charge.

Any passenger failing to present their printed Check N'Go boarding pass at airport security and the departure gate will be charged a airport check-in fee currently at the rate of £2/€3 per person (or local currency equivalent). This is only available if airport check-in is still open.

Thanks alared, so as long as she gets there before check in closes she should be ok. It may be that the friend she is visiting is able to sort her out internet/printer wise on that end.

I think they should make some terminals with printers available at their airports for people to print their boarding cards when they return from abroad. But of course they won't! Means you'd have to get there 4 hours before the flight though of course.

Does anyone know if the internet access you find in hotels are linked to a printer.
I know there is no obvious link beside them but wondered if a page could be printed somehow via the hotel reception.

Print out your booking ref number and check-in as normal in Milan.
