  • I've always forgotten about these sales on previous occasions (usually remember a couple of hours afterwards). Do they tend to be available at all times of the week?..i.e. is there any point in trying to get a £1 room on a saturday night?

Really hoping to get this! Missed the first, then on the second offer I got a £29 room but the OH couldn't go so I gave the booking to a friend and her OH as they'd not had a holiday and were needing a break.

This year I'm hoing to nab it, and even if the OH can't come, it's mine mine mine! :D

Personally I noticed the weekend (fri, sat, sunday nights) all seemed to go first, but if you don't try you never know - but if you're not too bothered by the day then prob best to avoid.

This time nearly 600 rooms will be offered at £1 so if you are looking to stay in London between October and January, then get online at 9am sharp.

Being online at 9am is a bit keen Martin  ;)

We did the £1 thing in June .... we had a super time. Nice everything, service, no fuss, clean, free granola & banana & juice for brekkie. Amazing power showers. The location is slightly off the beat n track. But taxis or buses take you into town in 15 mins or less. We did theatre, restaurants and basically became a tourist in our city, good ol London! LOVED IT

    Hi
does anyone know if they have any twin bedded rooms at all or are they all doubles? secondly, can you try to book a £1 room and a £29 room at the same time? I realise you can't book 2 £1 rooms but wondered if it was possible to do this?
    thanks

sorry for quoting myself but there seem to be lots of posts from people who have stayed there but I haven't found an answer to my questions. So I thought I'd have another go!
    Anyone know the answers? Thanks.

    ksh123,

You can book a £29 & £1 room at the same time (i.e. same person booking) as I have done this before. Before their last sale, I also phoned up the Hoxton directly and got confirmation from one of their reservation agents who told me that this is allowed.

The only snag is that I had to place 2 seperate orders, so if you're quick with your fingers, then this should be ok. However you may find that by the time you complete one order, the other room you want may be sold out.

Re: twin beds, I've never booked a twin room before but it does say on the hoxton site:
"we do have some twin rooms, please call the hotel directly to check availability on this room type and amend or make your booking for a Twin. Only by getting a direct confirmation from the hotel you will guarantee your Twin room."
On Thursday, I would just try and book the room(s) you want and then give reception a call to see if you can change the double room to twin.

f1re_cr4cker, The price you pay is for the room not per person, so you can book the double for either £1 or £29 (depending on how quick or lucky you are) even if it's just you staying there.
