Again it's about selling at the right price, the agent doesn't matter as they all appear in Right move. If the price is not reasonable to a buyer, they won't view or offer, simple, their not buying your house because of the agent.
That's not entirely true. There was a house in the next village over we saw was for sale. Got home and tried to make a viewing but couldn't find it on Rightmove. Turns out not only do they not advertise on Rightmove, but the same was so forgettable that we had to get back in the car, drive to the next village, make a note of the agent and find their website.
It's telling that it's been up for sale for ages, I suspect that's why. Unless you happened to be driving past (not a busy road either) you'd have no idea it was for a sale0 -
Hi there, Can you update anymore? Interesting information. Are they OK with all paper work and did it take you long at the end for all to complete?
It took 6 months for our sale/purchase to complete but that delay was due to the people we were buying from.
Our buyers had direct contact with is and this worked OK - but might have been different with other people. We really didn't need any further input from PB, so don't know how that would have worked. I do know that Mark is still working for PB locally.
All contact with our vendors was via a High St EA and their performance was less than stellar. The person we were dealing with left, as did his replacement, so we never knew who to go to with problems.
The icing on the cake was the EA deciding, on completion day, that they didn't have any keys for our new property (we had phoned and checked the previous day and they said 'Yes'). Our vendors had already moved out and were 'not answering their phones' (which seemed to be a common theme throughout the whole process). So we camped out in the EAs office and told everyone who came in 'Don't mind us, we don't have a home to go to'. Eventually, the vendors' (we were buying from 2 brothers) mother turned up with keys, just at the moment the EA 'found' the ones they had!
Nothing I experienced convinced me that High St EAs are automatically any better than PB.
Added for clarity - I am HB58 (forgot my password and no longer had access to my previous email addy, so re-registered with similar name). It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.0 -
We used purple bricks to sell our house, Marie our agent was fantastic, very helpful.
Our house sold within in 2 days of our advert going live for the full asking price, and the amount of interest was crazy.
Purple bricks might not be for everyone, and not everyone will have a good experience, but in out case 10/100 -
seems an awful amount of great reviews for purple bricks all of a sudden !!0

Never used them, would never view through them either.
It’s too big a purchase to leave to chance on whether their agent is a good or bad one.
Always look for who has good reputation for selling locally and you won’t be far off0 -
Brilliant company! Managed to sell one of our houses within 24 hours! Saved us thousands on fees with no commission!! Conveyancer is a tiny bit more expensive to one not affiliated with the company, but well worth the money. You can defer paying for 10 months interest free by using their conveyancer!! So it’s swings and roundabouts!! Plus the solicitor does everything through an easy to use app. Purplebricks also have an app too which makes booking viewings etc. as easy as child’s play!
Pictures and valuation were done with days of instruction. The advert was live that same night at 9.40pm. Advert looked great, was able to suggest updates and alter pictures using their app. We had someone pop in to see our tenants, who rang us to pop over and they begged us to sell the property to them before the official viewings had even started! We had 8 people fighting over the property, but we went with the original couple as a hand shake and a promise is a promise I’d never break, no matter what!!
I swear it sold so quick due to the great photos and descriptions of each room and overall for the property and area!!
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone, I think reading the negative reviews sometimes people want everything for nothing, which is impossible. This company do most things for you, but I love being able to do the viewings myself as I am an expert in our properties, so being able to do this saves you a fortune!!
I personally think Purplebricks excel at what they do, especially for the low cost!!
Very very happy!! Will definitely use again should we sell anymore!!0 -
Do PB chrage you to viewings? The agent never said this was the case?0
