Im sure I can figure out what cable connectors I would need and how to set them up as a pair of 4.

Dead easy. The Aoboet connections look identical to Pylontech.
Just give us a shout here if your unsure but I doubt you'll have any bother.
thank you so much and I absolutely will contact you to ensure im not connecting them wrongly im fairly confident as ex military Royal Signals and we hooked up batteries for our radios all the time and Im not dead so probably had an inkling as to what I was doing :)

I give in was it was it two wires one red and one black LOL

Actually, I just noticed it says "kwh" on the left side of the graph as opposed to kw so the graph looks like your energy generated for the day as opposed to power generated as I first thought.
    My bad. 😄
Well if Starfrog would use the correct units in their posts and in their sig then it would be a good deal less confusing for everyone :)

I’m new to this and happy to be corrected if my sig is wrong. If I’m using wrong terminology.

I think that's a bit harsh mate, the lad is clearly new to this and trying to improve his knowledge by asking questions.
I'm sure we have all struggled with kw, kwh, kwp at some point.
Starfrog, this part of your sig "2x2400kwh" should be either 2x2.4kwh or 2x2400wh 🙂

EVandPV I think the graphs are power generated in kwh every quarter of an hour.
I struggled with reading it too, I think we are just used to seeing graphs of kwp rather than kwh.
So where the graph would say 0.75kwh we would normally expect to see a 3kwp peak

Starfrog I'd suggest for the price of 2 aoboet batteries,  you could get 4 pylontech,  so the price imo is rubbish.

In most battery systems you have your positive and negative and a coms cable, so really no issues connecting them yourself.
Any pylontech I've bought comes with the 3 cables to join them to the other batteries.

If you can speak to Michael or Jake, they are good guys and always try to help, but yeah if you can't speak to them, the communication is pretty poor.
However being the only uk supplier of lux, and I think now aoboet,  they have a captive market, so what can you do?

  • ive been speaking with Aoboet direct and the supplier of my system was contact solar who im happy with but the price for the additional batteries is high in my opinion but when I cant compare it makes it difficult. I continue to source the batteries directly and in my experience if you reach out to commercial companies and they fail to even acknowledge emails or phone calls then thats not a great sign but people on here rate Michael and Jake (I think there the same company ?) so if they have direct contact details that would be great but I can only send them so many emails and calls before I think okay ive tried that and no response so I move on. I know that Hexane may have come over as a bit harsh but I dont think he meant to be, writing sometimes comes across wrongly. I've corrected my sig file but who knows I may have that wrong as well :)

As Solarchaser said, you just need to change "2x2400kwh" to 2.4kwh.  ;)
If they were that size, we'd all be after them at that price ! 😁

Interesting, I seem to be exporting tot he grid more than im producing from solar ! my monitor for the lux does seem kind of weird and not quite right although the guys that I bought it from are looking into it

EVandPV yeah I have about 8" of snow, I'm getting zero solar today
Seriously tempted to buy a telescopic brush !!

    https://youtu.be/P_o_OsPW0NY
I bought one a couple of years ago to try and wash the roof panels, 10m and it still struggled, and what a pain trying to manipulate it as all the weight is 10m from you.

Also when the snow is about you don't tent to get much solar tbh, as its quite overcast
Not sure I've ever post quoted myself before, but just to say the guy I quoted is clearly talking rubbish 🙄

The last few days have been very bright, but staying in minus numbers for me, had a wee early finish today so decided to get out the brush and do the panels on the garage .

I think you can probably guess what time I got home from work today 😂😂
