Heres the detail you asked for and yes I have a meter but just a basic one not smart at all (bit like me !)

My consumption is NEVER at "0" unless I have a power cut ;) Something is not right ?
It sometimes says that but I know something is being used its not an exact science and I will monitor it

Here's our stats so far today.
Batteries now full and water up to max temp so we're now exporting too.
You can see the grid charge on Octopus Go between 0.30am and 4am and the immersion controller kicking in about 12.30pm (immersion is fitted with a power reducer and runs at 1.5kw).
Unfortunately, the pv forecast from Solcast.com was not too accurate otherwise the charge controller would have prevented the batteries from taking a full charge from the grid and would have used more of the solar.

I got a quote for a two Aoboet 2400kw batteries giving me 4.8kw of storage, with cables and fittings and delivery with telephone support on installing them myself so I dont fry myself in the process. Total cost £2,880 includes vat. Not sure if thats good or not as I have no idea how much they cost individually but to do only one it was £1,680 so a saving if I go for two but I get the feeling that if I can shop around for other suppliers then I might be able to get them cheaper. I appreciate a markup for a business but im thinking this is just supply of product and then making a big markup ? who knows I need to shop around and cant find any others. The guys at Homeswitch have never gotten back to me even though ive emails and left voicemails, does anyone know if there active in this group and have better contact details than the one that they have on the webpage ?

They're fairly notorious for being rubbish at responding unfortunately.
Many of us on here have emailed them with queries about our Lux units and had nothing back from them.
We've had better luck contacting Luxpower directly although I realise that doesn't help you with your batteries, sorry.
Might be worth trying Aoboet directly to see if they can put you in touch with another UK/EU distributer ....... https://m.facebook.com/pages/category/Electronics/Aobo-Environmental-Technology-Limited-103878104700465/

do you have to get Aoboet? Sorry if you've mentioned above! That's insanely expensive given pylons are effectively the same battery and you can get them for £720 a pop for self-install.
    5.41 kWp System, E-W. Installed Nov 2017
    Lux + 3 x US2000B + 2 x US3000C battery storage. Installed Mar 2020.

yes as I cant mix them, its just a matter of shopping around and finding a supplier, I'll buy direct from china if needed, Im sure I can figure out what cable connectors I would need and how to set them up as a pair of 4.

I guess if the general consensus is that there notorious for being rubbish at responding then why are we giving them as a link ? bottom line in any business is respond to inquiries ! its not difficult and if they cant even do that then why would you use them. I had actually already went to Aoboet directly on their Facebook page asking for their UK distributers or suppliers so I can go to those directly too to source pricing.

Dead easy. The Aoboet connections look identical to Pylontech.
Just give us a shout here if your unsure but I doubt you'll have any bother.

    That's a fair point.
There just isn't much other choice in the UK at the moment when it comes to Lux and Aoboet products.
