    Bye, bye :)

I was going to post that specifically in response to his post but I see it's (inadvertently) a bit more topical now he's been PPRed, not sure what will finally have tipped the mods over the edge?

    Ditto, whats "PPRed" ?

PPR (Posting Privileges Removed) is the term we use when we stop someone posting on the forum

How can we tell he's been PPRed?
I can't see any mention of it under the user name.
  • I must be alone in enjoying some of his posts (and peoples rabid reactions) and finding posters above dancing with glee on here distasteful.

It is literally right under the user name in his post up top, above "fantastically fervent".

He has had at least one other "No relevant content" post this week get removed, it was about "remoaners" and brexit blah blah - like this one about how we wouldn't need to worry about exiting as the Italian elections meant europe would collapse anyway. People on the thread suggested hitting the spam button because they were tired of his diatribe with nothing relevant to money saving or investments yet again.

PPR is not permanent though, so he'll be welcome back after serving his time out.

Meanwhile if you want one-sided single-issue rants or rabid discussion, there's always the "debate the economy" board or the "Arms" off-topic pub board.

Go to your userCP, at bottom left is Forum Version Manager, select Old Version.

If you can't do that, you're stuck with the 'mobile-friendly' monstrosity of the latest version, which is missing much useful information.

Ah, MSE offers two versions of the forum skin design. You get the new one by default (or if not logged in to an account) but you can change your preferences as some prefer the old one. I marginally prefer the old one and use that in my 40-posts per page preferred view.

So on my view next to Freddie's post it has his name/avatar, and the fact he is PPR, and like me a "Fantastically Fervent MoneySaving Super Fan" with a few medals with stars on for being active (join date in 2007, 4000+ posts). Then some quick stats on how many times thanked and how many separate posts was he thanked in, and then a badge for having 1000 posts, and another badge for being here 9 years.

The newer forum skin does away with a lot of that and just puts the badges. So maybe it doesn't say PPR if there's no space. But if you're keen, you can get more info on his member page at

It's actually a 4.5% quickie if I had put serious money into it, but I think gold is on the way down. Too much peace and stability breaking out.
