Finally they have turned down the music.

I don't understand the need and point in Christmas music played to death in shops. Retailers say its to spread cheer. NOT playing the stuff will spread cheer!

Years back I went into an MFI store and they had a tape system (I'm guessing) with the music pitch constantly changing. It drove me mad but the staff must have been even madder or just immune to it from all day hearing it.

A year later I went back to that MFI and the same tape with the same problem was still playing.

A local bargains store got took over by a poundshop. It had horribly distorting speakers hanging down from the roof. New management - same rubbish sound system although I swear it's been turned up a bit.

^ This! I have never understood this too, always the same old sh1te year in, year out. We shoppers hate it, and so do the staff.
