Booked wrong car with RingGo app

Hi all.
My car was parked for 8 days in Exeter. It was parked in the same hotel car park every night. The RingGo app was used to book the parking. Stupidly accidentally the parking was booked on 1 day under the wrong car registration. So the car was issued a ticket. Should I appeal this under this basis. Hotel and all invoices for parking can be supplied. or just go down the route suggested in other posts? Chances of them being sympathetic?
Thanks

Depends who 'them' is and depends if the Hotel Manager puts pressure on them to cancel. Exeter concerns me that this might be an IPC firm who won't cancel it unless told to by the Hotel. Which PPC?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It was a premier inn and the parking was done by premier parking solutions. Signs up all over the place saying that hotel is nothing to do with parking.0

OK so who is? If it is a Hotel car park, then it IS the Hotel's issue. Methinks they protest too much.
Hotel yes, PPS no chance, not in a million years. But not a firm to PAY.Chances of them being sympathetic?
PPS are a firm to be ignored unless they issue a claim; there is no appeal except just sending the challenge for IPC firms*, to go through the motions and look reasonable on your part. No, there are no more steps, yes you can ignore letters (except a claim).

Wasn't there a case about this recently? About June/July regarding mistaken use of the RingGo app? Sure I read it on PPs blog...0

Oooo carthesis. I couldn't see anything. Have you got a link?
So I sent off the standard appeal and didn't mention the RingGo app as stated. As predicted they declined the appeal along with pics of my car etc. in the meantime I also got sent my ntk.
Do I just ignore them now. I've had another letter chasing me for payment.
Thanks for any help in advance.0 -
So today had a letter from debt recovery plus saying that will go to court if I don't pay.
Just ignore?0 -

I have now received another letter from Debt Recovery Plus. Offering me a smaller sum to settle. This letter states that it is a "pre-action protocol".
Should I do anything or just ignore?
Ah just read that only the parking company can issue court notice. So to ignore.0 -

All predictable stuff. You're likely to shortly receive a debt collection letter from a 'different' company - Zenith.
When it comes, check the bottom r/h corner and read their credentials (in light grey print). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
