    Hi everyone
I have applied for a few jobs, mainly in Norwich NHS trust.
Thanks for the advice re DISS, are all the surrounding villages fairly decent?
Takes about 49 minutes to get from DISS to Norwich.Anyone know if this route takes longer due to traffic?

    Many thanks

Yes, it gets very slow in rush hour. Luckily, the Norwich hostipal is on the right side to get there as easily as possible. The bypass does flow, just slowly, and Diss itself can jam up rather. It's avoid location for NHS staff, as Bury is only slightly further.

If you are trying to get into Norwich centre that takes rather longer. But, which town isn't that true of these days? Try getting into Cambridge during rush hour, but take a packed lunch!

Oh my word.....Cambridge is awful. We were in Cambridge for the Eye Clinic at Anglia Ruskin a couple of weeks ago. Took longer than expected and didn't finish until 5.10pm. An hour later and we hadn't even gone a mile. In the end we stopped for a pizza and by the time we'd had our takeaway traffic was moving a bit better, thank goodness.
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

I think you are doing this the wrong way round.

Find a job, or at least the possibility of jobs, first. There's no point looking and finding an idyllic location and then finding its 90 minute commute each way from the one place witha realistic possibility of jobs.

If you find there are ten potential nursing jobs in each Norfolk town, and then are evenly scattered so it doesn't matter where you live, then fair enough, but I'm guessing that's not the case, indeed with the exception of coastal villages, I would expect that house prices would follow the trend of, nearer to place with job = more expensive.

Also you need to understand (or explain here even if you know) how you'd get to work, if its public transport that will be hugely more restrictive than if you have a car. I'm presuming that due to odd hours, a car is vital?
    Hi
Public transport or care. Preference for public transport. No shift, left that years ago!
