Charter Savings Bank - Possible Data Theft

I wonder why some bondholders have received a letter and not others. It suggests very random record keeping and follow up which I find concerning.0

I've got a 2year fixed bond with CSB and have received a letter from them and an offer for a year's free Experian which I've taken up. I joined up successfully and I'm waiting for the PIN number in the post to access the account.
Whereas CSB have been incredibly careless with personal data and I'm actually very miffed with them, I don't see the point of complaining to them, as I don't see what that would achieve. I'm the first to ring banks, councils, HMRC and other organisations and give them a b******ing if they are incompetent, but in this case it's rather like shutting the door after the horse has bolted.
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.0 -

It's possible that there was only a sub-set of their cutomers on the laptops, e.g. customers that met specific criteria, in preparation for a marketing campaign and that they are only contacting that sub-set of cutomers. It's also possible that it's complete chaos.0 -
I have a two year bond with them and have heard nothing so a complete mystery.0

Anyone who takes/has taken up the free 12 month offer with Experian should be aware that you will need to cancel after 12 months because they have a continuous card payment system.
I know you get a free access code for the first year but you still have to give them card details when you join.0
