How much do you spend on your adult children at Christmas?

Just curious as to how much you spend on your adult independent children and any partner they may have?

The amount I have spent hasn't changed since they were little :eek:

Negotiating a No Unnecessary Present pact with my soon to be 18 year old this evening.
I'm hoping to set it at £15 for Christmas & birthday but generosity & humour all year round...

I don't have an adult offspring yet, but my mum did/does things this way with her 4 adult offspring -
no kids and not yet married/living with your partner = still get a sack full of pressies like you did when you were little
no kids but married/living with your partner = slightly less pressies and your partner gets a token pressie too
kids and partner = you get a token couple of pressies, partner gets a token pressie, grandkids get flippin mountains of stuff :rotfl:.

Mum spends the same amount on my sister and I as she does on our hubbies and children.

Our son gets about £150 in cash as he can so spend/save it as he wishes but might get the traditional socks & underpants to open.

My daughter has a wish list on amazon which I look at and decide. This year just over £100. My son often doesn't want anything so we say if you need anything in theyear let us know. Last year was plane tickets I think we gave him about £200 but it was his birthday as well. Sometimes nothing and then if I see anything he might like I just send it to him.

I suppose on average about £200 each but only because we can afford it and have a very small family circle. I only buy for 3 people.

My parents spend far too much. I am very fortunate. I reciprocate accordingly as I have no (and won't) children. My siblings are yet to procreate so there's a distinct lack of children to spoil.

I'm the youngest of four so so get toys!

We used to get about £20s worth or so. Tried to reduce it to less, but one sibling shouted as they like presents ... so that was banned (even though they earn the most and could buy anything/anytime they want).... they liked getting presents.... that they didn't actually like/want/need... so it was compulsory.

Now I'm orphaned I get nothing

Too much. Probably about £250 each by the time it is all added up. We do only buy stuff they need or want though. No useless presents, as an idea one of them wanted decking stain and a spray gun, so that is on the list.

My dad spends about £250 on me, I'm 33!

Roughly one hundred pounds each including their stocking fillers when though they are both in their twenties.

We have a Secret Santa between all my adult children and grandchildren with a £50 limit it works so well for us.
