Sat Nav Madness

You take you on roads like that, it's not mandatory to follow the voice or on screen graphics.
There was a road like that in Cornwall, my TomTom took me on a very pretty (but slow and narrow) route just to rejoin the main road a few miles further on; next time I knew better. One day I'll find a holdup on the main road and the satnav will say, 'I told you so'.0 -
These minor diversions off a main road and back on, are you using the "Mapshare" thing where people can share temporary roadworks and blockages? I wonder whether that's got some historic closure in it.
I used to use lots of different Sat Nav software for work, and the various convoluted routes some of them would take me on was quite surprising, even those using the same map supplier. That, and how long they would shout "turn around when possible" as soon as you divert from the planned route, without just finding another route. I always wanted a button to just hit for "no, find me a new route now".0
