I would also use the tape over the lens method as a backup....;)Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Just shocking ..
How can anyone justify "Food standards scotland" having complete access to my browsing history
That beggars belief
It's OK, they're only checking for people eating vegetables in advance of having a clincally diagnosed case of scurvy :rotfl:Signature on hold as I've seen no unused witty comments to plaigarise.0 -

There is a world of difference in allowing a magazine to take a snapshot of your house and garden at a given point in time (with you having final say in what can be used, no doubt) and allowing anyone 24/7 access to monitor you in real time.
That's why you are too much of a coward (that's the word I was looking for) to post the URL and login details.
Got something to hide?

Oh yes, this all slipped in very quietly.
Strangely enough the other night there was a featurette on the one show i think about GCHQ. It featured some guy walking around the public areas with a reporter and all this guy talked about, indeed one could say, emphasised ,as how they monitored lots of stuff for terrorism to keep us all safe.
Is it a coincidence that this billl passed and now the media are pushing this stuff out like a does of visual largactil ?
Lets be honest, GCHQ is a lot more than just chasing alleged terrorists. We live in a surveillance society where you cant even step out the door without being filmed by someone.
WE the people are now in the BIG Brother house..but we just dont know it.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
You do realize that you just quoted a Nazi?
The argument of "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" is quite possibly one of the the most insidious and unacceptable defences. I take it you don't agree with free speech either, even though you personally don't say anything controversial?
https://www.openrightsgroup.org/blog/2015/responding-to-nothing-to-hide-nothing-to-fear
Article 8 of the European Human Rights Convention guarantees the right to privacy. Unfortunately there's a massive loop hole that allows states to nullify this under the guise of "national security".
Wow that's a pretty salty response. Pretty sure the origin of 'nothing to hide, nothing to fear' was in the book 1984 and that Nazi link has been debunked a few times. Although I must admit, that's the fastest example of Godwin's law I've ever seen
Of course I stand for freedom of speech, but I think you're a bit paranoid if you think Theresa May is going to have everyone marching in single file lines into concentration camps. You might as well go and put a frying pan on your head and talk about how "satellites are tracking you're every move bro" while listening to Come As You Are.
You wouldn't be saying any of this, if your own mother/sister/brother/father had been on a train on 7/7, or a plane on 9/11 (oh wait, you'll be telling me those are government conspiracies). I'm not keen on it, but I can see why they've pushed it through. Everyone has the right to privacy, I also have the right to go to a gig, or a shopping centre, or ride a bus, without fear of being blown to pieces.
Thanks mate..... and whatever you've got to hide, I'd get rid of it quick :cool:0 -
Look hard enough and 99.999999% of us could be under suspicion and possibly 'guilty' of things. Forget that what is being done is not illegal, it is just immoral.
Now lets forget the government too, but focus on the clowns looking after out data, so far we have had the following UK data breaches:
Three Mobile (2016)
Tesco Bank (2016)
Sage (2016)
Kiddicare (2016)
TalkTalk (2015)
Moonpig (2015)
Think W3 Limited (2014)
Mumsnet (2014)
Staffordshire University (2014)
Morrison's supermarket (2014)
Sony PlayStation Network (2011)
Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (2010)
T-Mobile (2009)
HM Revenue & Customs (2007)
Nationwide Building Society (2006)
So all isp, will have to store all this lovely data about customers browsing habits. How many people got burnt when Ashley Madison got hacked, and your isp data has got even greater potential to do harm.
Lastly we in the UK only log for a year thanks to the EU. Our government initially wanted the sata to be kept for 7 years.
There is not going to be anything good coming out of this new law and it is a train wreck waiting to happen, just wait for it.
I would say the only risk is if (and when, because it is only about when) this data is sold to private companies how is that going to be used against us. I just wonder if the entertainment industry will start buying this data to try and sue fans once again? You're a lot more likely to see that than Theresa's death camps.
I guess we don't know who is looking after our data, but I agree, the ISP's will need to secure shop big style.C_Mababejive wrote: »Oh yes, this all slipped in very quietly.

It's never really worth discussing any serious political point on forums like this.
There are those who are passionately against the principal.
There are those who don't understand why they are against it.
Then there are the Trolls.........
Result................Stalemate......
Best stick to what the forum is about....Technical issues, If these help you to circumvent a bad law all the better, but, on here the technical aspect will be more productive....Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
