    Budget £150.00 - overspend last week = total available funds of £68.78 :(

    Total expenses: 138.66 - so came in under original budget but due to week 1 overspend still returning an overspend of 69.88, but I'll knock that out hopefully by the end of the month and balance the month even :)

  • I was also just wondering if anyone shops like I do - i tend to go to the discount stores and do little shops maybe 4 times a week - so Aldi, Home Bargains etc. I rarely do a big shop at Asda or the others, and sometimes I do wonder if this is a value for money approach....

    I do shopping at Tesco once a week on a Tuesday and then Aldi or Lidl alternative weeks on a Thursday . Tesco for me is within walking distance and a large superstore - so a selection of different prices. Hubby drives so that is why we go to Aldi and Lidl otherwise I would not be saving anything if I had to spend the £4 bus fare to get there.
    Always take into consideration bus fares and petrol, when driving around for those bargains as you may be spending more in petrol and bus fare , trying to find that bargain.

    Afternoon all,

    Sorry I haven't been updating much lately but I have been keeping track of spends. Total so far is £272.99. Don't think this is too bad as it includes :

    • £89 for 2 new pair of glasses which I was in dire need of and really couldn't put off for much longer;
    • £50 for a service for my car, due MOT on Monday and hopefully will pass. Will probably be changing the car at some point this year, the one I'm driving at the minute is 13 years old, I've had it for 10 of those and thankfully I've never had much trouble with it until recently but I've just lost faith in it now and hate driving it. If I got another 6 months out of it I'd be very happy :rotfl:.
    • £30.50 for the actual MOT test; and
    • £40 for diesel
    So all in all not too bad I think. Haven't added my DD's in yet but will do this at the end of the month.

    Happy weekend all :T

    I don't drive at the moment, so I am walking or cycling everywhere - so it's all (relatively) free, plus i'm burning off a few calories in the process :rotfl:
