A naughty IN, Christmas present to myself:D
Tarte 20 Piece Colour Vibes Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette with Brush
2 small items which need UU added to PP list
5ml REN Micro polish cleanser
10ml Clarins gentle toner/exfoliatorThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
This is my first update in December
UU
Body Shop Rainwater Shampoo
Boots Cremolina Cream
Waitrose Pure Face Cream
Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter Cream
In
Elizabeth Arden Skin Protectant
Carmex Lip Balm x 3
Total 89
The 'Ins' were brought in Black Friday as I going make assumption that the price will go up in 2017 as they are imported from the US.
This is was probably be the last month my stash will go down as I get toiletries for Xmas and I already 'eyed' up the products I going to buy in the sales!!
I'd love to hear what people are buying in the sales! Or is that enabling?
I have two UUs
TBS camomile cream cleanser
WPBA as did the job getting make up off before cleansing more properly but it didn't do an amazing job at it. Very nice and gentle though. Haven't got any sort of replacement so I may have an in. Also need eye makeup remover I think.
Sample of Elemental Herbology cleansing balm
This was totally lush! Would probably buy as a replacement balm at some point.
Must be good. Must be good. Must be good.0 -
I have another UU to log.
UU
Dr Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Skin Lotion 30ml - I bought this small size for £1 so I could try it out. This smells amazing - it's a spicy smell which reminds me of Christmas as it contains Cinnamon Oil. It made my skin really soft. I definitely really want to purchase a full size version. I will attempt the Lush online sale on Boxing Day. Last year it was impossible. I asked one of the girls in store what the boxing day sale is like if you go in person and her response was "Don't do it!" So if the staff are telling you to stay home, it must be bad!
I normally get a big Sanctuary set from Boots in the sale. I really like their products, it's a good value way to get them and there are generally a lot left in the sales. Probably look at Crabtree and Evelyn, and Body Shop gift sets too. And I'll look at stuff I think is normally too expensive; I managed to get Diptyque candles for 50% off in the Space NK boxing day sale before, and a Laura Mercier palette set.
I have been putting £1 away in a pot everytime I UU something this year and also if I've sold beauty related bits I'll put that money in too. The plan was to use it in the sales. I looked in the pot the other day and it's added up. I "owe" the pot about £30 at the moment because I keep running out of cash. I could really go mad in the sales if I wanted to though!
What do you think you'll look for? (Not enabling!)0 -
My Lush KItchen order arrived. So INs:
1-3. Lush Green Day Bubble Bar x3. Took a risk on buying 3 of these as I've never had it before but it sounded like I would love it and I was right! It smells lovely, and they're quite big so I'm sure I could get 3 baths out of each one
4. Lush Happy Bubble Bar
5. Lush Error 404 Bath Bomb
6. Lush Karma Shower Gel
7. Lush Stardust Bath Bomb - this wasn't from the Kitchen order but I picked up one in store today to replace one I UU because I love it.
UU
1. Lush Stardust Bath Bomb WDBA. Already replaced. Will try and get some in the sale but I'm not holding my breath.
2. Essence Maximum Volume Mascara WNBA. It was just ok.
3. OGX Apawuhi Ginger Shampoo. WNBA. Again, just ok
4. 96 Juniper and Clove candle. WDBA. This was really nice and burnt really well. Found it in TKMaxx so I'll definitely keep an eye out for this brand again.
More Christmas shopping today and the replacement Stardust bath bomb was all I got for myself. So many people in my family have asked for Lush stuff for Christmas and I keep having to go in there! I thought about doing it all online but then the bath bombs and bubble bars don't get wrapped which is a bit tricky when they're gifts. I think I'm done with all the Lush-based presents now though so hopefully, unless something comes up in the Kitchen, I can restrain myself until after Christmas! We'll see!0 -

I've never bought any toiletries in the sales I don't think. I think I will check out Lush online and Space Nk too though on your suggestions! I'd love to get a nice candle half price! Will keep an eye out for nice makeup sets that are reduced too.0 -

I got stuff from the Lush boxing day sale last year online, and it was okay once you got a place in the queue. They have a whole queuing system set up on the website so there isn't too many problems with it. I got a fair selection of stuff0 -
Something I forgot to add earlier. I don't really include make-up in the challenge but I'm finding bits to use up here and there and wearing make-up for work now. I used up a sample of something recently and stuff is reducing.
UU
Revlon Colorstay Makeup Combination/Oily Skin Sand Beige 0.75ml - I got this in a magazine and this tiny amount covered my face and more. It had great coverage and lasted all day. I was impressed with the staying power and there are a bunch of reviewers on the Boots website saying that it's better than Estee Lauder. I would definitely consider buying this full size after I've used up my current foundation. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2019 Total UU since 2016 - 396 | Total February UU - 10 -
I need to set up a specific PP list for December - otherwise I just use up samples and start new items!
I'm very warm in bed currently so will go through my cupboards tomorrow and update the below, but my current list is as follows!
1. Simple night cream (not much left!)
2. Soap and Glory face mask and peel
3. Body Shop Frosted Plum body scrub
4. Colgate whitening toothpaste
5. Body Shop wild rose hand soap
6. Carmex mint lipbalm0 -
I'm not planning to buy anything in the sales this year. I have bought from Space NK sale in the past but last year they reduced things bit by bit and they charge a right old whack for postage, so I am avoiding as they were taking the mick imo.
I am lusting after the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics palette but I have soooo many eyeshadows already.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
