I also have 1 UU. There are a couple of others I'm still to log but in the midst of unpacking items from a trip away. I should be able to log those tomorrow.

    UU
So? Fabulous Dry Shampoo 150ml - This was inexpensive but seemed to do the job well. I had this for months so I'm glad to have finally used it up. I have a travel size Batiste in the stash to use up next.

I used up a bar soap from 1985 this year. Some stuff doesn't go off.

They say bars of soaps are sanitary, so it wouldn't go off :o

I have a confession to make. Two actually...

    IN:
    1. Rosie for Autograph Eau De Parfum 30ml - I smelt this ageeees ago and was lusting after it. Saw it was half price and I had a small voucher so this cost me £5.05 and I couldn't resist.
    2. Leighton Denny Nail Polish in Raspberry Affair - saw this was a free gift with Elle magazine so bought this. And then bought another two magazines for the other colours for my Mum for Christmas :o The spare magazines will be passed on to friends to read.

I was stressing about something today so turned QVC on for half an hour. This was a trick that an ex-boyfriends mum did. For some reason, the therapeutic tone of QVC in the background used to chill her out - maybe it was something to do with the constant talking? Who knows. Anyway, it worked and I satisfied my beauty urge by painting my nails at the same time. I did see a peel off face mask on there today which looked amazing but I will resist!

Lynseydee- I am the same - im still using avon products from years ago too. Ive had very few products go "off" and even when they have i re purpose them. I had an "off" face cream which i just used on my feet instead. Waste not want not. I ignore the dates on my lush products too - im currently using a snowcake shower gel that is out of date but looks and smells fine still.

I have a uu from today:

Forever friends vintage body lotion 100ml- WNBA this was ok but wouldnt go out of my way to re purchase, although would use again if recieved the gift set again. This didnt smell of anything so it was handy for using with different perfumes. It was quite watery and took a while to rub in. It was ok but i wouldnt say anything special. The packaging was pretty though.

  • This week I opened a sample of prada concealer I think I was given in 2001, possibly before. It's fine. It is v effective, pity you can't get it any more really! Or perhaps a good job you can't.

I agree with Lyndseydee. Use your common sense.

    Two INs from yesterday:

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Softening Body Gel-lotion

I took advantage of The Body Shop's 40% off so I got something to give my gran from Christmas and I've been wanting to try the cleansing butter for a while now.

I am knackered from work yesterday. I had to do the work of two/three people because one person was on holiday and two others had to go help elsewhere. I can't be in three places at once. And I get to do it all again today, and it's the busiest day of the season today apparently :(

My skin isn't too great either at the moment. I thought I had gotten to a proper routine, I tested a new moisturiser for weeks, and now after using it on my whole face for a week or so, it's causing irritation in lots of places. Now I have to start all over again. But at least I get to start using my new Bioderma moisturiser :)

I still have 8 items in my stash that date from before I left school . . . in 2002. Mostly perfume and all still fine.

I don't throw stuff away unless it smells funny or stops working. If I just don't like it I generally offload it onto my sister (although I felt very guilty reading Marie Kondo's book where she said Never Ever Do This!) She does the same to me though.

However it makes me cross that I had £70 worth of stuff sitting in a shoebox under the bed all year, when it could have been paid off the mortgage instead.

On that note, a couple of INs:
Rosie for Autograph lipstick in Camisole Blush - once Sali Hughes has written about something in one of the Guardian columns I'm almost powerless to resist purchasing. It's lovely and I wore it all yesterday.
Shampoo & conditioner - will need these in about Feb
Blistex strawberry lip balm - I usually have 4 in use at any one time - handbag, bedside, makeup table, office - and was down to 3
    Nyx eyeliner in bronze

Onwards & upwards ladies (or downwards in stash numbers) - currently 123 Out; 114 In

This is my first update in December

    UU
    Body Shop Rainwater Shampoo
    Boots Cremolina Cream
    Waitrose Pure Face Cream
    Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter Cream

    In
    Elizabeth Arden Skin Protectant
    Carmex Lip Balm x 3

    Total 89

The 'Ins' were brought in Black Friday as I going make assumption that the price will go up in 2017 as they are imported from the US.

This is was probably be the last month my stash will go down as I get toiletries for Xmas and I already 'eyed' up the products I going to buy in the sales!!
