It's been a bit quiet on here recently. I hope you are all OK:beer:
Had a '10p off every litre' petrol coupon from Morrisons but my local one doesn't have a petrol station:(. Nearest is 16 miles away but OH had to go somewhere in that direction yesterday (the last day for using the coupon) so I managed to persuade him to use my car. Not easy, he thinks it's beneath him to drive what he calls a 'heap':rotfl:. Not only did he fill the tank (it was running on fumes by then:eek:) so I saved £5 but the petrol is a few pennies per litre cheaper there than my nearest garage. Just adding the £5 to my total though. I know he had to use 'my' petrol to get there for the reduction (false economy I suppose) but he picked up some milk and didn't charge me for it so it evened itself out.
Sold a book on Amazon last night, should get it posted today and will receive money later in week.
Really sharp frost here overnight, the windscreens have just needed a lot of scraping:(. Have a good moneymaking week, everyone, and stay warm if you can:coffee:0 -

OH was roped in at the last minute to be a stand-in Santa. He was probably the only available man who the suit fitted, he's certainly got the figure to be Santa:rotfl:. The event was in the church of the next village to ours (we don't even attend:o) and in the 4 hour event not one child turned up:eek:. One woman came in with a tiny baby but OH didn't get into his spiel as the baby was fast asleep;). OH was so bored, plus it was freezing cold in the church. There are very few children within miles of here but the event was reasonably well advertised and the ad said all children attending would get a gift from Santa. There was no entrance fee either, I would have expected some children to turn up. I think there are too many of these events round here with lots of very small villages all with their own church and all putting on similar events within days of each other.
Loads of refreshments remained uneaten and OH came home with lots of lovely free nibbles and mince pies that the organisers were eager to get rid of. I had a very nice nosh as I was watching Strictly:beer:
Thanks CBC. It was ok but not as busy as we hoped - bit busier than yours though by the sounds of it!
Nothing to add today, just checking in.

Evening all
A warm welcome to all the new peoples and returners :hello: and hope you all have a great month.
I have done the challenger list (post 3) up to here, so please check I have your details correct. Ella - you didn't say how much you want for your target ??
Well done to all those making monies already this month :T :T
Sorry CBC to hear that your DH and his foray into santaland didn't go well. It's such a shame when events aren't supported locally.
Well, I've worked out that I am saving £161.78 by having a new bank account with a package.
Separately the phone insurance, car breakdown service and travel insurance would cost us £281.78 - and I had already shopped around for the best deals to get that price. So paying £10 a month (£120 for the year) for a packaged account plus we will earn 3% interest on up to £2,500 must be a better idea :money:
We also get a card and identity theft service included. Just have to finish getting all the details to them now as the account is up and running - even earned 6pence interest already :rotfl:
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday

Congratulations on the shiny new bank account, Lynne:T. That really is a brilliant saving and more convenient to have it all under one 'umbrella':j.
Sadly, being on a DMP, I'm only eligible for basic bank accounts:o so can't get any perks, interest or cashback for switching:mad:
Another freezing morning here with fog thrown into the mix to add a bit more excitement;)0 -
Morning all. Cold and foggy here to. Yesterday used a coupon for £8 off a £40 shop in Waitrose. £10 amazon vouchers from SBs, £6 from the tree people and £16.5i interest.Jan £10 a day £326.75/£3100

A nice haul there, Rosie. Well done:T
Just received £8 from a postal survey and a £5 Morrisons voucher from Daily Mail Rewards.
Very strangely I seem to be getting loads of Prolific surveys that I'm eligible for these days (at long last):j and am already up to £13 after cashing out well over £20 last month. Must check when it was, doesn't seem very long ago;). I intend to let it mount up to £20 before redeeming and hope I manage to do it before the year ends.0 -
Afternoon all
Doing well there Rosie and CBC  Hope it continues for both of you.
My surveys with PA tend to be few and far apart - must be my demographics I suppose. I am back up to £4 odds already though and, like you CBC, I did claim over £20 last month. I have cut my notifications from the thread to once a day, as was getting fed-up with being 'pinged' every few minutes and just finding some chatter going on.carbootcrazy wrote: ».......

I've been busy on housework today. Just cleaned out the boiler cupboard, which also houses cleaning things, laundry stuff and spare T. rolls amongst other general 'stuff'. It was getting really untidy and I was ashamed to see how dusty it was in there To be honest though, I can't remember the last time I cleaned it out :rotfl: Also washed and dried two king-size duvets - soo heavy when wet eh but done now :j
Hope to get onto some money-making after I've made the dinner
