Help me get a parcel to NZ.

OK, long shot with this, my DW makes quilts, she has made two for our family in New Zealand. Looking at parcels to NZ it will cost over £120 to get them there! Is there a cheaper way, could anyone add them to their luggage, if so how do I find people going there? Any ideas?

Sending to outside the EU goods and services are zero rated, so no VAT to pay to any carrier.
