Well we have now removed a couple pf pics we were going to include so the weight has come down to about 3kgs, parcel about 50x40x25 and yes it will be vacuum packed.
I have taken things abroad and back for people, including strangers whilst living abroad, ex-pat forums often have a "favours" thread where people ask/offer to do things like this but couldn't find one for NZ.
Before anyone asks, it is too big to stuff where the sun doesn't shine!0 -

I think you are either very brave or very over trusting...have you never read any of the news stories where people have been asked to carry ornaments or books or something for a very nice man they met, and then get real jail time for drug smuggling?
Also before you say how nice the people were , that's how scammers work, they want to be nice and be your best friend- they are looking for gullible people to act as mules and don't get one by sounding dodgy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. this is the site we used whilst living in France, 17 years and no-one from it ripped us off.

I think you may have trouble getting any meaningful insurance. At best it is likely to be the value of a few metres of fabric and certainly won't reflect the hours of work involved.0
