Free Freeview box and 2 months Setanta for TalkTalk customers old and new!

Hey Everyone

I signed up Thursday evening (20/9) and card arrived 1st class Saturday. has anyone received their box? If so can they post when they signed up so the rest of us can gain some idea of how long it takes to arrive?

if u sign up using direct debit, could you just cancel the instruction at the bank then never pay any fees??

sounds like a plan booheyhugh, thats what I was thinking. Ive just signed up with a view to cancelling after a few weeks...heres hoping its a smooth, hassel-free transaction..... Im an existing customer anyway.....fingers crossed... THANKS OP. xxx

I sighned up on 20th, my card came sat morning, as yet no freeview box.

my grandad wants this but cant cos he has no bank account can i get it and he pay me for it and use it at his house?

I actually scared them with all sorts getting a solicitor etc i need got a letter saying that they were taking £10 off my monthly bills for the nxt year which i thought was acceptable,doesnt excuse them thou giving me problem after problem since last March,its only just been sorted out.

TalkTalk's sevice is terrible!!!!

My OH's Mum took out a deal with them, and it was ok, everything was installed quickly etc etc, but as soon as something went wrong, she actully spent £147.38 on the phone TO them, they only give you a 0900 number to call them on, so was really expensive and she kepy getting cut off!! She is battling to get away from them now!!!

Has anyone had a good experience with this?? I'm tempted but can't be doing with the hassle of chasing people on expensive 0870 number.

iv been with talktalk for my landline for around a year and so far not had one single problem with them and they save me one hell of alot in comparison to BT.

one thing i will say is the offer posted above,forget all the cancellation stuff and simply enter an old credit card number from an expired or lost card you have and the system accepts it and you dont need to worry about charges and cancelling etc etc.
i used a number from a card i still have that expired about 6 years ago!!

i received my viewing card but have yet to recieve my box.
