OP however long you have been at a job, you shouldn't have to give it your life. You don't owe a company anything. They probably won't be there for you and repay all the years of stress and worry! Sadly most people are just a body in the building and the whole staying late/doing extra work at home etc is passed by at your own sacrifice. Don't let it consume you anymore.

If you do decide to take a year off working or something, I strongly suggest volunteering. Go for something you enjoy and follow it from there. I run a girls football team and I only offered on the spur of the moment to help. That was 5 years ago. Just shows how much of a positive thing it can be, its helped me in all sorts of ways.

Hi, sorry you are going through this but better times are ahead if you make the change.

If you did live closer to work then you wouldn't have the awfully long commute and could still see your mum/friends/family at the weekend and be more relaxed.

Do you have any holiday you can take? Can you take a long Xmas break for a rest?

Maybe find a NLP practitioner who can help with some coping strategies.

But you can't go on the way you are obviously so 2017 will bring some welcome changes for you!

    Good luck
