They ought to give you a little paper disc that you could stick to your windscreen with the renewal date on.
Or would that be too much?
But that never made any sense!. Why wasn't there a disc for MOT, and a disc for insurance?.
I was glad when they got rid of the pointless tax discs that we had to display for no real reason.0 -

Quite the opposite, these are people and cars you would not expect to be untaxed. But they drive fairly low mileages and rarely any police around here. Especially if they use the lanes rather than the main roads.
Although one did have his Mercedes towed away a little while back. Swoop and scoop. It was gone in seconds.

I've forgotten to renew by due date. Nobody is perfect, but the DVLA do send out a reminder. Once recieved I've paid up and no further action. I thought the fine was £80 and back tax. Am I wrong?0
