Who Knows Free Telephone Number of Scottish Power

Who knows any landline telephone number or 0800 / 0500 number for the Customer Service Dept of Scottish Power? They always asked customers to ring their 0845 number which will charge 4-5p per minute! BTW, my ntl package allows free landline calls so ideally I am looking for a landline no. for SP.

Their sales team with a 0800 number used to help customers to transfer phone calls to the relevant departments but now refused to do so.

Can anybody who knows such telephone number come to help?

Many thanks!

    Get a BT landline ;)

Calls to 0845 and 0870 are now free within the inclusive minutes of a BT calling plan :)

But there is a call time limit of 60 minutes and a fair use policy...

"Call plans include 0845 and 0870 calls of up to 60 minutes duration (excluding indirect access numbers and dial-up Internet access). Fair use policy applies – maximum 1,000 minutes or 150 calls a month. If either of these limits on inclusive calls is exceeded, BT will charge for these calls until further notice."

I didn't know this as various companies can leave you waiting on the line for well over an hour sometimes.

Actually one of the worst is BT themselves.

Also people need to be aware that as people have taken up the offer of the so-called "free" 0870 and 0845" numbers BT and the companies have simply moved over to 0871 and 0844 numbers and variants such as 0843 etc which ARE STILL CHARGED AT THE RIP OFF RATES which the old 0870 were renowned for.

I don't know long BT have been privatised but it still has a powerful monopoly on numbers like these and really should be put of business once and for all.
  • thank you for this.:money:
Yes, a BIG thank you. I just spent over 20 minutes on the phone to SP so the freephone number is great :T. BTW, I originally called the 0845 number on my bill (before I found the 0800 number here) and I was left hanging for ages. When I called the 0800 number I got through STRAIGHT AWAY.

Also, if you are on their standard tariff, switch NOW. I've just switched and my monthly charge has now gone down!

After two costly but infuriating (didn't get thru) calls to Scottish Power on 0845 numbers, I rang 0800 number and like LondonGirl got through immediately.
