Well done on haggling with Sky, that's really good work. I like working out yearly savings when I've reduced bills as you've done there. Some bills you may only save £5 per month which may not seem worth it but if you save £5 on 10 different bills that suddenly becomes £600 a year. :D

    Your food spends!! Wow :T
    Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44 :( Apr 17 - £2500 :) Dec 17 - £560 :) July 18 - £199 :D
CHEFS challenge (Cruise Holiday Entirely Funded by Surveys) - £685.79

  • Today was a bit of a spendy day (all factored into the budget luckily). Went to the local farmers market and spent £31 stocking the freezer with game (mostly for Christmas) and on a huge crown prince squash - going to think about how I'm going to use it next week :)

Also picked up Christmas presents for OH's grandma and step mum as well as something for my dad in the sales. Total spend £47.

OH also bought some butter and tomatoes (as I totally forgot to include this in the weekly shop) and picked up a big tub of fresh cranberries for 49p, which we've put in the freezer for Christmas.

So although it seems like a lot the weekly shop has been less than £20 and we've spent about £80 of the Christmas budget.

  • Definitely doing a happy dance. Goal is to end the year with the OD paid off but I feel like I have a long month ahead with Christmas and several birthdays in December.

I ended up having to pick up my prescriptions today (it would have been Saturday but somehow it got lost en route to the pharmacy) but otherwise no spending. :)

Most challenges count buying meds as a NSD anyway so well done!

  • Ah that's great, another NSD - hoping not to spend at all until the weekend.

I've just spoken to my bank and found out they can't stop me switching because of my loan (but I may need to take some additional steps). So I'm going to be looking on MSE to work out what the best switching deal is.

  • Just checking in before the weekend. Had a delicious chickpea curry with rotis for dinner - great meal entirely from store cupboard ingredients. So glad its Friday and I can relax.

Also enjoying my M&S beauty advent calendar, which will stock me up with goodies for the new year. It's so nice having a little surprise each day.

I need to meal plan for next week. My brother is visiting at the end of next week so I'll need to take that into account.

Hope everyone else is having a lovely Friday.
