Civic Type S? Detuned version of the Type R, still huge fun to drive but cheaper insurance premium than the full fat Type R?0

hey thanks for your reply. Is type s model in diesel too? To be honest,Is diesel the only choice i have for fuel economy? I m sure petrol, if behind, would only be by few factors. Itl cover the fuel consumption by being cheaper to buy and service right?0

Lets face it anything will be better than an Aygo for long commutes
The Civics are a great little car and Honda reliability is legendary. My wife's 1.6 VTEC gives an average of 39mpg and her daily commute is 25 miles each way, 80% of which is motorway.0 -

A bigger car is going to be cheaper to buy and cheaper to insure than the sort of cars your looking at, just saying it might worth looking into.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Haha! I truly don't care about all them street creds and such man. To be honest why are people hating on civic though, swear its better than or atleast not worse in terms of aesthetics than vw golf and small corsa every young drivers drive.0

The 2.2 diesel will put a smile on your face, quick and excellent fuel economy,I ran mine for 8 years up to 217000 miles, only changed as I fancied a sports car now the kids have grown up.Word of advice ,check insurance quotes before you decide,if I recall it wasnt cheap to insure for a young person.(2.2i diesel doesnt have a DPF filter so no worries about that)
The Type S is only a 1.4 and in my experience underpowered, however still gives fairly good fuel economy.0 -
