The only one that I would possibly avoid is Motorpoint as sometimes their cars are sourced from RHD markets abroad and may be different spec or only have a 2 year warranty. All the other seem to use only UK sourced cars from UK dealers.

Toyota Aygo through drivethedeal. I would recommend them. They are a broker for UK dealers. Once the order is placed and deposit paid your only contact from then on is with the supplying dealer. The only issue you may have is the supplying dealer may not be local, but this depends on which car you are buying. If you have questions call them, they are very helpful.

I'll second that recommendation. We bought a Toyota RAV4 from drivethe deal. Service was excellent and the supplying dealer was on the doorstep of the Toyota plant in Derby

    Thanks for that

Do you recommenf Drive the Deal in general or specifically for Toyotas?

Also, if the car you want is in a dealership miles away, do they deliver?

Haven't bought anything else but the RAV so can't say, although I can't see why they should be any different with other makes. The Derby dealer delivered at agreed date & time right to our drive so that bit was excellent as well. Also took the old car (which was a Seat) in part exchange which was collected by the Derby Toyota dealer at the same time, no extra charges for any of that.

Cash, so can't comment on any credit deals I'm afraid
  • Can we just correct the pricing someone has quoted for us please?

Our current advertised price on a Fiesta 1.25 3dr Fiesta Style is £6,295 plus metallic cost if required. This is clearly shown on our Fiesta page, bargains page and Ford header page! That deal, like most Ford's expires next Friday so you'd need to be very quick as the cars have to be paid and registered by that date to meet Ford's bonus deadlines.

The only Fiesta you can order and get price protection on is the Zetec Climates......everything else is subject to Ford's new pricelists and bonuses due out on 1st Oct.

We bought the Aygo from DTD becasue that's the car we wanted and main dealers were only offering a discount of £250. DTD discount was £700. We used some savings and a bank loan for the car.

Our Aygo was driven from the dealer and delivered to my wife's office. In our case the dealer was 200 miles away, but that's due to it being a Toyota and DTD only have relationships with 2 or 3 Toyota dealers. If we weren't happy with this we could have cancelled.
