Amazon locking out non Prime customers

I have been buying this great hamster litter from Amazon for the past year. Now I go to buy it again and suddenly it is 'exclusively for Prime members'. Is this happening a lot?
(If you are a prime member with a hamster - I'd recommend it - 30litres (this is massive) for £10.31. Back 2 Nature small animal bedding, really cuts down smells. )

Not happened to me on any of the multiple items i have bought .
However i do see offers in many forms for Prime members .0 -
I joined Prime months and months ago as I stay in the Highlands and their postage charge was way over the top. Next day delivery is almost impossible to where I stay so now and again I contact them and they extend my free month. Haven't paid anything yet and it has been at least 7 or 8 months.0

and yet they are happy for Prime to be milked by businesses, I bought something on Ebay (the seller lists a lot of stuff with multiple quantities) and was surprised when it arrived next day from Amazon. Don't get me wrong, the price was good and delivery the quickest ever. And because it was only £13 the postage to me would have been prohibitive as below £20
But surely Amazon must be losing money when someone is sending hundreds of 'gifts' and getting express courier delivery on it all.0 -

The eBay seller pays Amazon to store and fulfill the order. Plus you have paid for prime membership so Amazon are making two lots of money from an eBay order.0 -

You will have paid and probably haven't noticed. Your free trial can only be extended once. You can then have 12 extensions on a paid membership if things don't arrive on time.0 -
I noticed this too. I attempted to buy an item that I'd had from Amazon previously, only to find that it was exclusively for Prime members.
So I ended up buying it elsewhere and saved a bit on the price too.
I'm a frequent buyer on Amazon but this kind of thing puts me right off them.0 -
I've noticed quite a few items I wanted to buy off them for Christmas was exclusive for Prime members. Luckily I found them elsewhere for the same price. I think they're being a little bit sneaky by doing this but I won't give in and get Prime.0
