Parking Lie @ my local supermarket

agreed , so you need to deal with the head office like I did and insist that the VRM is placed on their global whitelist
afaik they need planning permission for the cameras and also advertising consent for any signs if they are larger than a certain size, other threads on here have gone into detail on this planning and advertising consent issue recently so do a search0 -

Signs 0.3m2 or greater need advertising consent. It's criminal offence not to have it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
a further complaint was made to head office at which point they asked for my VRM, added it to the whitelist and after further enquiries were made they said it is a "global whitelist" and covers all stores
Hi RedX - did HO ask you for your BB details before putting u on the 'whitelist'. Or do you think it was appeasement on their part to get rid of a complainer ?
Now you have a global pass, maybe try it out at a Walmart store over in the States

2 1/2 hours is a long time for one supermarket, is it for other shops as well as its possible that planning consent was for a longer time.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

The car park is for Asda only, however their car park is near to the main shopping street, I got to be honest, I really hate ANPR car parks. I'm not sure about the planning consent, perhaps an email to the county council is required!0

lol
no , originally they told me to present it at the local store C/S DESK, so I did and they hadnt a clue what I was on about and had no procedures in place either (think TROLLIED on tv)
the local store was told to phone me by HO , but the local assistant manager could do nothing but was sympathetic, so he referred it back to HO
believe me , it was yo yo ing between the 2 with different stories
but HO then asked for my VRM and you can see they added it and emailed me back as well, a few times, so well done HO for sticking with it
yes I think it was appeasement, but I made my point based on the EA2010 and not my BB , so although I expected them to match the extra hour that the council and hospital allow (for the EA2010 appeasement) , they offered a whitelist, so I queried if this applied to other stores in my area, they came back with the quote I listed earlier, a global whitelist and I can go to any of their stores nationwide !!
believe me when I say that I have put the simple version on here, the whole story was far more complex just to get a simple task done and to observe the law on their part
it seems this OP is also talking about asda , so I would have expected him to get the same option as me from HO, but the local stores know nothing about this and tend to fob you off with the old smart parking ritual, where a man (or woman) was onsite and checked paid for tickets (redeemed in store) and checked blue badges etc too
I dont think head office policy has filtered down to the local stores and the assistant manager I spoke to seemed to confirm this, but he definitely understood where I was coming from , but could not help0 -

So its possible the council could have put a longer time on the planning consent to allow other drivers to access other shops, they have in the Asda in Hastings. In fact there is no ppc at all.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

I've tried to find the planning consent for the store online but not yet found anything, I do know that the store used to use (not so) smart parking, I met the parking attendant a few times (quite a nice fellow), when I had forgotten to display my blue badge!0 -
I emailed again yesterday, quoted the EA and said I thought they should contact their legal department as I believed they were not meeting the requirements of the act, today I received another reply assuring me all their car parks meet the EA, so I intend to do exactly as the email states and contact the customer service desk telling them I require more time, if the person on the desk doesn't know what to do I will leave immediately and contact the CEO again. I'm a bit cheesed off with this already!0

and this will have to be done every time you are in a different car , proves that ANPR is not fit for its job
I would go on to say that in any situation that allows or requests a blue badge then there MUST be feet on the groundSave a Rachael
