looks like you edited your post. you originally linked this -- http://www.vodafone.co.uk/cs/groups/configfiles/documents/contentdocuments/vfcon058470.pdf
thanks for linking the other one anyhow. airtime agreement?
I didn't realise my contract was an airtime agreement. I figured it was a contract for red tarriff. but oh well if you are sure that is the right one, you have my thanks.
Can i just confirm this though. I'm still confused. if a company presents me with a piece of paper, I read it all and sign, the company can claim I've also signed and agreed to paperwork that was not presented to me?
what law specifies this and what restrictions are there on what they can claim i have agreed to?
because as far as I can tell, they can claim that I have agreed to anything when looked at it that way. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

'Red' is the name of the tariff. It is an airtime agreement you have signed for the 'Red' tariff. If you are still doubtful, just call Vodafone. Can i just confirm this though. So you are worried that they may claim you have signed for 'anything'. But the terms are easily available for anyone to access so that is not an issue. I doubt they would make an attempt to have all their customers on a different contract compared to you!
If the termination conditions were that an important aspect to you, why did you not mention this missing page when you read the contract in the store?
Vodafone could also argue that you were indeed given the relevant page, and that by signing it you had agreed to it. It would then be he said/she said and down to a judge to decide if it went to court for any reason. The fact that you read and signed the contract in store without questioning the missing page, and the fact that they are clearly available online to access, I would think that the balance of probabilities would come down on Vodafone's side.0 -

If the paper makes reference to you agreeing to the standard terms and conditions, then yes, you should be asking to be given the terms and conditions and time to read them, if you can't be bothered to do so (like most people do) then you can't come back months later and complain that you couldn't be bothered to read them and want to make an advantage from your inattention to detail previously.====0 -
Ok I understand now. thank you guys for explaining.
I do feel safer, now that I know the full terms and conditions.
I know where I am. I know that I am able to rely on clause 11 if any of those situations arise.
and I know that if they continue to spam me with text messages, I am best off contacting an ombudsman or something like that. no need to waste my time on unnecessary things. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Have you contacted Vodafone and told them you do not wish to receive any further marketing messages?I am best off contacting an ombudsman or something like that. no need to waste my time on unnecessary things.
Not because you are receiving text messages, that would still be a waste of your time as it's part of the business relationship you agreed to. You might have cause to complain once you have made it clear you no longer wish to receive them and they still send them.====0 -

Yeah I did twice. they put on the message "send STOP to 9774". and I did that twice and yet still getting marketing texts.
So you haven't actually used chat/CS/myVodafone to stop all marketing?
I've just checked my Vodafone sim, I have had 4 texts from Vodafone since February but I did tell them I don't want marketing...====0
