Yes, before and after, but I always pay cash. This is why the store wouldn't help.

[sorry, edited the rest of the post, the receipt I found was for a later date]

The store manager/CEO should help because they employ perking lie who are trying to scam money out of you when you weren't there. The scammers are scamming in Aldi's name under contract from Aldi. This makes them the principle and therefore jointly responsible.

You need to contact the manager and/or the CEO again explaining all of this and telling them to cancel it or you will be calling on them to be a witness if parking lie take you to court.

Also contact Trading Standards, local and national press, your MP and Mrs May about this dreadful unregulated scam industry.

Planning permission for ANPR cameras (not sure whether that applies to attachment to existing buildings/poles, or just to specially erected poles). Retrospective permission available. Not to have permission is not a criminal offence.

Advertising consent for signage over a certain square meterage in size (and, I think, visible from the public highway). Retrospective consent not available. Not to have consent is a criminal offence.

Someone with 'chapter and verse' might confirm above (my understanding of the rules is from what I've gleaned from reading parking forums).

As 'serious' as the above requirements are, they are not showstoppers for your case. Advertising consent, particularly, has been raised with Local Authorities, but all we've seen is handwringing, prevarication and excuses.

Liverpool John Lennon Airpirt signage is a classic case which is being vigorously pursued by poster 'hexaflexagon' over on PePiPoo, yet despite reluctant acceptance by the LA that signage doesn't have advertising consent and has been condemned as not meeting safety standards, they continue to wriggle and squirm to avoid taking action, yet calmly allow the continuing financial rape and harassment of any motorist who dares to stop, even for a few seconds, on the road.

Write/call the local planning department to get absolute confirmation of the permission/consent situation.

Thanks for the reply. I know it's not a showstopper but it's all small arms fire and useful to know anyway.

planning portal says signs without illumination require pp if >0.3sqm. PE have two at the entrance off the public highway at 0.48sqm. I'm awaiting the council's reply regarding ANPR and permissions.

I have had the laugh of the day in an email from POPLA, (sorry parking-prankster, they clearly have no appetite to re-open this), which contained the line:
The email was sent to you on 26 October 2016 asking for your comments. The appeal was assessed on 31 October 2016. This is over the seven days that you are allowed to provide comments.

Just wondering, do PE usually send out 'Final Notice' letters for Aldi cases? I've had one 15 months on. It's not an LBA, just a 'we want £70' letter

    Pass!

What they don’t send are court papers. I’d ignore it.
