Why would HMRC carry out a credit check on me ?
According to my latest NODDLE check - HMRC CVAL MI did a credit check on me - last month .....

Was thinking the same, if you have a tax credit over-payment, or some other over-payment of benefit, they may be looking into your ability to repay it.

No benefits except DLA ( which is not income related)

You need to contact HMRC and demand to know what's going on.
Of course HMRC and many other institutions can help themselves to the CRAs' files about you with or without (usually without) your consent. Things are pretty much open house as far as credit reports are concerned. However, you should still contact HMRC about it.0 -
I will also raise it with Theresa May - why not take it to ECHR as well - whilst I still can ?0
