Sky & BT Sports

Options
Hi All,
Mum is moving into retirement flat which does not have cable.
Can sky and Bt sports be accessed without a dish?
Talktalk say they can via internet?
Thanks
Suzanne

Now tv does sky sports over broadband , no need for a dish

There is a limited number of channels Live on now tv , box sets plus catchup are available

BT TV /talk talk do the same although you need infinity for HD or Ultra

There's no way to watch all the sky package over the Internet without a dish

    Thanks Browntoa,
Do you think I should go with Sky with a dish so she can have BT and Sky sports?
    Cheers Suzanne

If the home will allow a dish to be installed then yes, only way she will be able to get Sky Sports and BT sport.

Which Sky channels does your mum actually watch?

If it's just Sky Sports then you can get this via BT TV (and also with Now TV but it's a pricey add on for that service).

The main channels are Sky Sports and BT Sports.
    She is football mad:-)
We are also looking at landline and basic internet {for us to use when we visit}.
Unfortunately she had a bad experience with BT, so looks like SKY is the lonly option?
There is a comunal digital aerial, does this make a difference?
    Thanks Everyone

You won't be able to receive Sky through an aerial. To receive Sky, you'll need a satellite dish (either communal or individual).
An aerial alone will only provide Freeview channels regardless of how many termination points.
