Sorry, I thought I placed in an appropriate emoticon to show that it was in fact tongue in cheek. It still seems to be there now. Maybe you got the text from someone elses quote?
I saw the emoticon. And I interpreted it as someone 'whistling nonchalantly'
As in you were indifferent or unconcerned about the possibility that your friend could be a fraudster, purely because they were your friend
Such is the internet. Your intended meaning can be lost in translation.0 -
The only thing I can think of is getting a sick note to delay his start date for the work experience. Somewhat uncertain and risky but he might be able to self certify.0

I wouldn't say it was risky considering his medical background - one of the main reason he seems to be declined for most jobs is that he just can't be relied upon - at any day he may be unable to actually leave the house due to chronic migraine, seizures, dizziness and so on, which seems to be made worse by stress (hence my statement about stress previously which some people though I meant as "throwing a sickie because they didn't want to work").
Personally I don't think he's capable of doing a 30+ hour week, but apparently the job centre think otherwise. He's now booked an appointment with the disability councillor at the job center and we'll see what happens.0
