M&S credit card problems

in Credit cards
Does anyone else have a problem with the M&S credit card? My card is frequently stopped for "suspicious behaviour", to the point its intrusive. This week it has been stopped 3 times - each time I've had to call them (and be placed in a queue for 10-15 mins), for them to release the card and complete my transaction.
I get that in theory its protecting me. But when its with a Company I've done business with before, and not a large sum of money, I don't.
I check my bill and pay my card off in full every month. I don't have a debt with them. But this over-protectiveness means I'm about to change to a more reliable supplier.

I would lodge an official complaint and see if it can be sorted that way and they'll take your complaint more seriously then.0

Not at all. It's protecting them. Their behaviour appears to be completely over the top. If you have another CC then cut up the M&S card and send it back to them explaining the situation - robustly, I think, is the word of the moment.
In my T&Cs of credit card use I have a clause that effectively means a "two strikes and you're out" policy. So I'll accept one block, but that's it. So far I've had to ditch one credit card as a result of them breaching the T&Cs.0 -
From the other point of view twice in the last 2 years I have been contacted by card companies asking me if transactions going through were mine - and they were fraudulent.
They can't win can they?0 -

Fair enough. I might add that it's the (unnecessary) blocks on non-fraudulent ones that I object to.0
