Thanks, but I was there in the evening on a Sunday when nothing was open so I have so company to complain too.
Could I appeal to the company on the grounds that the sign was not at the entrance and not visable in the dark when driving around looking for a space?
Also, if I appeal and they do not accept this do I THEN have to pay the full amount or still get the chance to pay the redueced fee?0 -
I dont want debt collectors or bailiffs turning up at home? Why would they send the letters if they wouldnt pursue it, why would they be wasting their own time (As these wouldn’t be connected to G24 they must be independent debt collector agencies?)
Debt collectors can't come to your door. That is an urban myth. They want your money and pretend they can do things that they cannot. They are not allowed to. The ONLY thing they can do is send you bog paper. That's it.
Some of it may be in scary red writing (I am quaking in my boots, even though I wrote it myself, I am that scared by words written in red.)
(I'm not really scared of red writing. I lied, just like parking companies and debt collectors do.)
The reason the send that rubbish is because it scares people who then pay up when they don't need to. Do you know anyone who is affected like that ...
That's what they want. It's what bullies do. They scare people who then pay when there is no debt.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

You really need to do much more reading on this. You're watching too many 'Can't pay, we'll take it away' and 'The Sheriffs'. They are bailiffs, not debt collectors!I dont want debt collectors or bailiffs turning up at home?
You only get bailiffs if an alleged debt gets to court, the judge awards in the claimant's favour, the defendant refuses to pay, the claimant goes back to court for a court writ for bailiffs to execute. To my knowledge we've never seen a PPC PCN go through to bailiff stage.
No one is coming a-knocking!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you! So basically here are the steps I take:
1)write an appeal letter to the parking company
2) DO NOT PAY
3) ignore every single letter/call from the private parking company?0 -

If the parking company was a member of the BPA, then inadequate signage would be one of several winning appeal points at the second stage, but you are not there yet. You must understand that this is an unregulated scam industry with no scrules or morals.
Parking companies have been known to lie in court, caught on film telling their employees to target motorist visiting hospital cancer wards, breach the Equality Act, breached the Data Protection Act, reached the Protection of Freedom Act, breached their trade association's code of practice, and lied in court to name but a small number of the nasty things they do.
The people here advising you have helped thousands of people to beat these scammers. Please, please believe us, we know what we are doing.
Trust us. Please d as we suggest. Don't try to overthink this.
We've seen t all before.
The advice you are getting here is the best you will find anywhere. Just follow it.

Carthesis told you where to find that in post #2.
You need to slow down and read carefully what we are saying to you.Within the 28-day appeal period, you also appeal to G24 using the IPC template in the **NEWBIES** sticky thread which is one of the first three listed at the top of page 1.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thank you! So basically here are the steps I take:
1)write an appeal letter to the parking company
2) DO NOT PAY
3) ignore every single letter/call from the private parking company?
4) keep in mind to update them if you move house within 6 years, just in case.
5) come back here if (almost certainly not!) the take you to court (they won't)0
