'ello, 'ello :hello:

Had a record week with egg production, so have potted £8. Go girls :T

Hope your foot is OK today Mrs Shazbat. I got my arm stuck between the headboard slats once (I was changing the bed, I hasten to add, and I'm still not sure how it happened) and my DH just laughed too

Afternoon potterssssssssss

I searched the thread Cinders and it doesn't look like Crimson addict has posted at all since the start :( hopefully she will return to us soon with tales of how she won the lottery and has been cruising round the world swimming in champagne :D

• Hello potters,

Only 50p gone in since my last pot but it's feeling quite heavy now, the plastic fivers are getting in the way though can't push them down like old paper ones!! Think I will need tweezers to get them out when it comes to the big count up as my pot is too nice to smash!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend :)

Hi Sue and all potters :)

Slight set back for me already. I had to open my tin :(
It was Friday morning. 7am. I had just finished work and went to the cash machine as normal. Nothing, no wage. Panic attack.
When I got home, I opened my tin with a claw hammer (in a non violent way) and started to count all the 20p. There was about £12-14 and I separated them into piles for daily food, busfare etc.
A few hours later I went to Greggs for a £2 coffee & pie, tried the cash machine and noticed my wage was now there (It was just an error within HR at work that caused peoples wages to go in a later time than usual).

So back to normal :) Need to buy another tin from the pound shop and throw away that hammer. Saving continues..
Have a nice weekend Sue and everyone.

BREAKING NEWS! - Bristol City DIDN'T lose tonight :j

After an all time record of losing 8 games in a row my team managed a 2-2 draw tonight. Feels like a win and actually enjoyed the match for the first time in ages. What on earth has that got to do with SPC? Well, the lovely bus driver let us off our fare on the way back (think he felt sorry for us being soaking wet AND Bristol City fans) so I potted what I would have paid in bus fare. "Cheers, Drive!" as we say down here

As a fellow City fan, I have shared your pain in the previous 8 matches and your joy in Tues and Today's match. What a nice bus driver.

Added 5p to the holding pot.

Thanks all. Fortunately my toe has only bruised ever so slightly although my knees still ache from coming into sudden and unexpected contact with the gate as well (and with all my weight behind it, unsurprising) :rotfl:

My Quidco is building up again nicely (included in my pot total) and I'm up to £32.79

I've counted up the total in my saving pot today and well it's come to a whopping
£59.80
I potted £18.35 away today and I had some spare change,my sister gave me back what she owed so I potted all of that.

I'm saving to move out in May of this year so this is what the money will go towards.
After we move in to the house , I'll be starting my pot again to save money for a house deposit... or to put towards buying the house if me & my boyfriend chooses to

Hi Potters!! :hello:I hope you're all enjoying a lovely weekend. So terribly sorry for not having been on the thread for several days but we've had very much going on, or what could be otherwise be termed as spreading ourselves too thinly on the ground! But neighbours of ours are moving into another house just up the road on Friday and desperately needed a hand to strip wallpaper off all the walls and then redecorate for them to move in, and as they have a severely handicapped DD it's not been easy for them. So that's what we've been doing. Also our DD's Birthday was on Saturday and that it was relatives down with us yesterday! Lovely times we shared in the last couple of days but now it's back to work for the neighbours so please forgive me if I'm not on in the next 2 or 3 days but I'll see how things go. Thanks everyone as there's some really great potting being done by all of you, which is excellent work!!!! :T To all our members who are poorly or down in any way, take great care and let these {{{{hugs}}}} help you feel much better soon. :grinheart

Ooooh your poor DD, jakes-mum, she's had a basin full of it lately, still, she'll probably be given antibiotics and soon be feeling much better. What with her toe and now mouth problems, if she were an animal it would be classed as foot and mouth!! :rotfl: Only joking.
Good thinking on what to do with the extra money that you found yourself with, brilliant!! :jA very wise move with DD's Birthday treat too - it could cost a ruddy fortune if you let it!

My target will be smaller this year as I live off my works pension and savings which have remained the same but living expenses have been steadily rising. I think I shall aim for £250 this year.

I have found an old blue Roses chocolate tin I am going to use. My children gave me it one Xmas and it must be well over 20 years old. I am not going to selotape the top and will use willpower to stop me dipping into it - famous last words :rotfl:

Today I potted £5.30 xx

It is great to see you back at last, Plumduff, I was just about to give your No to a new home! :( Best wishes in reaching the Target you've set yourself, I'm sure you can get there. Great savings btw! :D

I've a feeling you said about the cuddles with the cat in a flippant way, Vicky, but they say that stroking our pets is an amazing way to keep us from strokes and depression, so keep those cuddles up!!! :grinheart Money well potted too!!

Go on Sue, have the Chinese. It was very nice, but not good for the diet!!

£4 potted today.

32b3

I've held back from having a Chinese so far, 32b3, but I have a feeling one will be coming up soon as we're helping neighbours get their house ready to move into (see my above paragraph) and I think they'll probably probably be a celebration afterwards and who knows - Chinese might just be on the menu!!!! :j Good potting!! So where 1/4 of the way through the year already then! How time flies when you're having fun saving!! Still, thanks for the heads up 32b3. ;)

We do try our best to be as caring and helpful as possible to all our members, Cinders, and thankfully we usually win through. Keep looking after yourself. BTW, I'm positive Ruth (Crimson.addict) hasn't been on the thread since it began in November! She's never been a frequent visitor but not usually leaving it this long between visits!

Come on Ruth, we miss you!!!! :D I hope all's well.

Hi all, I'm here - I just went awol for a few days as I'm trying to make it in freelance writing (I really want to stay at home with my baby girl, I don't want to put her in day care while I go to the office each day). Hope everyone is ok :)

I haven't potted anything over the last few days, but I have guarded it from husband pilfer attack :D

D'you know dinglefoot it's so lovely to hear you say want to be able to work from home and have time to really enjoy your little treasure's childhood. I truly hope it works out for you!
Well done with keeping your pot safe from hubby!!

WOWEE Lost, that's incredible and great incentive for the rest of us to, where possible, save as hard as we're able, brilliant work!!!!! :T

A great amount saved by you too, Chutney!!!

It sounds like you've really been bitten by the potting bug, HoneyBee, keep it up as I'm sure you will!! ;)

YAY for Bristol!!!!!! :j Well I'm blowed Antomac......didn't they do well! Now all you'll want is for them to.......WIN A MATCH!!!!! They sound a lot like Yeovil.....not great!! :(

How wonderful of the driver to let you have chance to pot, an extremely thoughtful chap!! :A

Well saved parksandrec, you're doing so well!!

[Quote-louby40]Still potting, not much but the odd few ££ here and there.

Doubt I'll make my £200 total but not beating myself up about it. Every bit helps!
As long as you're potting Louby that's all that matters. We all do our best but most of us would admit that we'd love to save more. However, we're all SAVING and that in itself is 100% more than many folk do!!!! :T Be happy with your savings and very, very proud of all you achieve!!!! :D

Don't worry mrs-moneypenny, I hear what you're saying and can see your reasoning, however, I wouldn't be happy if you don't declare your savings thus far! You have saved it so pop the amount saved onto your signature and move on again. Ok? :D Your time on the naughty step is over now, lucky you. ;)

So was it fair to imagine you'd had a bad day, MrsShazbat!! Oh dear I really do hope you didn't injure yourself too badly. Naughty hubby, bet he's still being fed tongue pie. If your neighbour offered his assistance any time you should have at least asked, he might even have been hurt that you didn't ask!! Have a good day MrsS and it's good to hear you're not badly injured!

Aha there you are again with your weekly £10er, Lynne, great work as ever! :j

Very well saved muppets, bravo!!

Dizzy Imp, what a difference your chooks are going to make to your declaration this year!!!!

Good potting Fivebyfive!!

Do worry MLE007 sadly we're not all able to pot as often as we like, but be proud of what you are achieving!!

Brilliant potting Ladykernow bet you're over the moon with it!!!!!!

An excellent outcome to what initially appeared to spell disaster, Rancid!! :T Brilliant work and nobody could blame you for your actions as it was the only way out! Well done!!!! :D

Very well saved, Thora!!!!! :j:T:j It all makes a difference and at least it wasn't squandered!! Best wishes with your plans, I hope it all goes your way.

£20 in the pot for DH & myself post shopping.

Have a lovely Monday
,
Potters, and feed your pots well!!! :D
