BREAKING NEWS! - Bristol City DIDN'T lose tonight :j

After an all time record of losing 8 games in a row my team managed a 2-2 draw tonight. Feels like a win and actually enjoyed the match for the first time in ages. What on earth has that got to do with SPC? Well, the lovely bus driver let us off our fare on the way back (think he felt sorry for us being soaking wet AND Bristol City fans) so I potted what I would have paid in bus fare. "Cheers, Drive!" as we say down here

Still potting, not much but the odd few ££ here and there.

Doubt I'll make my £200 total but not beating myself up about it. Every bit helps!

I've opened my pot, sorry Sue I will sit on the naughty step. BUT in mitigation I have immediately repotted all but the paper fivers and the pound coins - I've put them in a holding purse till I get this weeks housekeeping and will then repot the value in my new sealed tin (I had one on standby)
I did put an extra £40 in as I couldn't remember if I'd potted last week on not. I won't declare the money I'm swapping over as new ins as it's already been counted once.

Decision was made because I don't want to have to be queuing down the bank with my old notes when they will be full in the run up to Christmas when we open officially but that's just me being a fuss pot. (As apposed to a sealed pot)

    Hope all are well

  • Nothing to report on the potting front but have had one of those days today. Well, tonight. Was trying our dog seatbelt restraint in my car, didn't realise my keys had dropped into the boot, car self-locks, restraint thing doesn't work, I drop the boot down ...... DAMMIT!!! First time ever. And there's only the one key for my car (it was my parents' before me, but the spare key mysteriously disappeared after my Dad died). Called out Greenflag, who were on the scene very pronto and in the car in seconds with the added bonus of no damage. Ironically, one of our neighbours works for them and once asked why I didn't just knock on his door when I called them out before, but I don't like to when he's off-duty (if it was a weekend and he'd been outside tinkering with a car, then I would have).

In the meantime, while waiting for Greenflag to arrive, I slipped down the last few stairs and rammed by foot into the dog-gate. Shouted hubby to help me up but he just sat there, claiming that if it had been him I'd have just sat there and laughed. I thought it appropriate to remind him of the 9-hour days I spent sat with him when he was in ICU!

Not looking forward to how much my toes are going to hurt in the morning. They're currently resting on a bottle of frozen water. I can walk OK and they don't really hurt to touch, but after 8 hours in bed I'm pretty certain it's going to be a different story!!
