Hug to you Cazzie, you are never alone as we, your SPC family are always here and care very much about you
Alas Sue, I spoke too soon as said virus came back with a vengence on friday but I finally seem to have shaken it this morning! Which was good as it was bingo day with my mum (they sent me free vouchers for my birthday so mum and I got to play for free) won £10 on a line :j :j and then £8 on the slots! AND they gave me a free box of choccies for my birthday too! All money bar one was paid in new £1 coins so had to delve in my purse to get my mum her half as I couldn't let those beauties go, plus mum had 2 x £2 coins so £21 in the pot today

Hello lovely potters,Hug to you Cazzie, you are never alone as we, your SPC family are always here and care very much about you
Thank you all so very much for your kind words and encouragement. This board truly does feel like a little family and I'm so glad I came back and became a proper part of the board. Not only is it helping me to create my all-important Emergency Fund, but you are all such lovely buddies and to know I am not alone makes me feel so much better. This group is like a giant hugI am so sorry to hear that I am not the only one suffering but knowing we can all be here for each other is just wonderful and I'm so glad and so lucky to be a part of such a great family
Talking of potting, just paid a visit to Hobbycraft (I'm under the care of my local Crisis Team at the moment, and the lovely lady who visited me yesterday decided I need a colouring book in my life, so she took me out today to buy one!) Spent the princely sum of £2 to buy a fabulous kiddies' book of ballerinas - badly need new glasses but the finances just won't stretch to such extravagances right now, so those fancy-pants adult ones with their intricate designs just weren't going to work for me! But obviously I paid with my usual tenner and am pleased to report a delicious £7 for the pot today, in the shape of a fiver and a rare and beautiful £2 coin. Sadly the £1 was a stinky old one but that will pay for a stamp to post a card to a friend who is also suffering and the leftover shrapnel will be added to the shrapnel pot to await exchange with mother dearest for any pot money she manages to get her hands on!
Right, I'm off to colour in some ballerinas! Can think of worse ways to spend an afternoon! Will check in to report on the therapeutic benefits later, and maybe you can help me decide if it can also be counted as CPD hours for my job as an Occupational Therapist! I'm all about Continued Professional Development
Lots of love to all of you and thank you again so much for being in my lifexxx

Something happened to a colleague a while ago and when I think back I wish I could have done more to help her, so I have been applied and been accepted on a training programme to help me identify actions which I might otherwise think nothing of, and hopefully I will be in a better position if a similar thing happens in the future.
Thank you 32b3 for trying to make a difference. With Mental Health Awareness Week and the young Royals doing a bloomin' fabulous job promoting the importance of awareness as well, it can't help but make the future look a lot brighter for all of us touched in any way by such issues. Whilst I'm sure whatever happened to your colleague could likely not have been avoided, the fact that you want to do your best to stop it happening to anyone else makes me feel a hundred times better about the world, so thank you and good luck to you xxx
Keep potting, potters! Money may not buy happiness but it does buy holidays and I reckon that's gotta be a pretty close second, right!?xxx

Ahh I am glad knowing we are here for you makes you feel stronger Cazzie
As someone who has had to deal with depression for her entire life (first my mum, then myself, now my husband) mental health is something that means a lot to me and after feeling so very alone at my worst time I would never want one of my friends (real life or those of you who live inside my computer) to believe that I did not care or that I was not here with you should you need someone.
Re the virus, it again has reared its head in the form of a nasty ear infectionI swear this thing is never going to leave me alone! plus poor DD got sent home from school with a tummy ache (as the school said, she's never one to moan for no reason so they said she really deserved the benefit of the doubt) down to doctors as she was literally balled up crying her eyes out, and its a urine infection
bless her, she was in sooo much pain! BUT antibiotics and calpol have seen her happily off to bed, so hopefully wont be long till shes back to her usual chirpy self.
As we were at the doctors for over an hour and a half! we all felt that fish and chips was an excellent tea idea, and the chippie must have agreed as a lovely £2 coin was in my changeSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

I just want to be able to spot when something isn't right Cazzie The civil service seem to have loads of support available to people who seek it but what about those who might potentially slip through the net. I"m looking forward to the training.
Hope your ear infection and your daughters urine infection clear quickly Jakes-mum.

Much love to you, Cazzie - I totally get the feeling of a family on here, as you've all been so welcoming to me as a newcomer!
One more plastic fiver potted today. I've finally found an ATM that dispenses them, so see many more trips there in the near future...
