Finally potted some £2s this week - 4 altogether. I'm going to have to develop a new saving strategy I think, unless the Royal Mint start churning out some more coins for us collectors! :rotfl:SPCNo.19 #20 (18 £1752.64; 17 £562.86; 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Hi Sue ... so pleased the funeral went well. It's tough as you get older and you realise that people who are very dear to you, won't be with you forever.
Pretty Pitiful Potting this week ... was absolutely bogged down with work. When I did have some cash, most of it seemed to go in the shopping. I salvaged just over £2 in change for the pot and (can you believe it?) I had to lend the blimmin' tooth fairy money because my lad's first baby tooth has finally come out (after a bit of assistance from me). His face this morning when he came through with his bounty was a picture.174 BPM >> CC Balance (0%) -£3,565.99 - Target DFD Dec 2017 >> Loan (Car) (3.1%) -£19,803.74 - Target DFD Nov 20200 -
My precious fiver was broken into this morning - new water bottle for school needed. £2 from change potted. Have TWO WHOLE (old) pounds pocket money for the rest of the week now

EDIT - scratch that. Just swapped out the two pound coins for 4 x 50p. 2 went in the pot and 2 for the kids to go to breakfast club.174 BPM >> CC Balance (0%) -£3,565.99 - Target DFD Dec 2017 >> Loan (Car) (3.1%) -£19,803.74 - Target DFD Nov 20200 -
Hello SPCers! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are settling back into work or the week once again. Have a good week folks and enjoy the days as much as is possible along with some peaceful or otherwise evenings. To all those of you who are unwell or who are a bit down for any any reason, here are some big {{{hugs}}} to hopefully help you get better again...very quickly!
Thank you so very much indeed, siju and 32b3, really lovely comforting words from you both and much appreciated, thank you.
Brilliant savings from you too, 32b3! :T
Ah at last you've got some £2 coins, MrsShazbat!!! I expect the Royal Mint have been watching the thread closely to take our wishes into account!! :rotfl: We'll be fine, he :money:says so!!

Oh so very true Money Rollercoaster. The trouble is that although we know it's true, we can't help feeling they will always be here. Still, if I hold her in my heart I'm sure she will be!
You don't seem to have been able to win with your savings lately, but fingers crossed things might just turn around from here on. At least you have your little treasure's face to make it all worth while!:grinheart
WOW, it's exceptionally quiet on here, especially for the time of year!
Have a lovely evening and super Wednesday, Potters. Don't forget....your pot gets hungry!!!
Sue xx

I'm back
Its been months since I was last on and I can see that I have a lot of catching up to do. My pop is doing a lot better now, although he is still not 100%. We have all moved and now settled into the new house, although we have a neighbour that seems to like throwing stuff in our yard (my housemate went and bought a security camera so I'm excited to see all the different dogs that walk past our yard).
I'm not sure how much I will pot this year, I finish my social work masters in a few months which means a job hunt. In preparation for this I'm paying of as much of the credit card and trying to get ahead in the rent so I'm not broke, stressed and looking for a job
I am still potting all my $2 coins though.
The only other thing is my poor puppy is now getting expert help for his social anxiety, the poor little guy freaks out when he has to leave the house which makes exercising him particularly interesting.
I hope everyone is doing well and that your pots are filling up nicely.Number 495

Potting ground to a halt over the weekend as it was my birthday. Much fun and merriment, including a free lunch. Who said there was no such thing?!
