Did you know Android only offer 2 software updates per device?
Android is an operating system, and there is no limit to the number of updates you can get - it's up to the device manufacturer how many they push out though OTA, some will support devices for longer than others. Not all hardware can cope with the latest versions of Android, so it tends to be abandoned at the last version it can run.0 -

A bit like the iPhone then. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
In all fairness to Apple the iPad 2 received five years' worth of software updates.
I'm not calling Google here but even their latest Pixel phone is slated to receive two years' worth of software updates and three years' worth of security updates.
I'd imagine iPhone SE will get up to and including iOS 12 at least; it has the same chip as the iPhone 6s/6s Plus with the same amount of RAM (2GB) too.
Mines the iPad 3 which then became the iPad 4 after a few tweaks.0 -
With regards to the Pixel getting preferential updates i read a blog recently that stated that Pixel users are set to get updates before anyone else it seems.
Also with regards to the whole android/iOs thing its all a matter of personal opinion really. I was reluctant to change to iOs at first but now i couldn't be without my iPhone (^_^)
I used to have so many problems with viruses on my android phones and the charger ports would always seem to break. I have yet to encounter any of these issues with my iPhone.0 -

Really? I've been an Android user for the last 6 years and have never once had a virus on my phone. Perhaps you should be a bit more careful what you do with the phone rather than blame the operating system.0 -

You have never had a virus on your android because they dont exist.
Malware exists however, and so do cr@@py applications that pretend to be one thing for a week or so, and then start popping up messages telling you that you have viruses etc ..
The main culprits fo rthis are usually bottom feeder apps like battery analyzers and wifi boosters etc etc.
Be mindful of the quality of what you are installing, and if you hit problems, uninstall your apps one by one until you find the culprit and the problem goes away.
Dont waste your time and phones processing power with "Antivirus" software for your phone or tablet.
They are all snake oil of the highest order.0 -

Never had anything nasty on any of my Android phones.
And i have never had a charging port fail either. My Galaxy S2 and S4 are still in as new condition except the batteries but considering their age they are my backup insurance.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
