Where I am, the council deal with abandoned vehicles - they are basically treated as illegal dumping. If it is abandoned i.e. no registered keeper, they'll remove it. As others have said though, it would have to be there for more than a few days, otherwise the council would be in trouble if they removed it if the owner was on their hols. Normally the council apply to the DVLA for the registered keeper details which takes about 2 weeks, they then write to the registered keeper advising them to deal with it, or if there is no RK they'll begin the process of having it removed - normally requires a notice to be served on the vehicle giving the owner time to remove it themselves - all that takes time, and as it is at the expense of the council, they don't like doing it. The local police may deal with it if it is left in a dangerous position, but other than that, in my experience, neither the council nor the police seem to have any interest - there's a car that's been parked outside next door since Christmas, and it isn't taxed or insured, and our neighbour has been complaining for months with no success. I think the council are only interested if the vehicle is left on their land rather than on the road.0

I have reported a number of untaxed vehicles near me over the years. They have all been removed quite quickly.

Or if it was no longer secure, thus posing a potential danger to kids etc, esp if there was a whiff of fuel in the air as well.

Interestingly, looking at the Highway Code, it doesn't say that parking in a bus stop is illegal (Rule 243 says "DO NOT", as opposed to "You MUST NOT").
Depends on whether it's a restricted bus stop or not. Stopping on one is the same as stopping on a clearway.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
Well if it's taxed it has every right to be on the road and your council will not view it as abandoned, and certainly not after only 3 days. If, however, it's still there in 3 weeks time then by all means ring 101 and report it.
Not if it hasn't an MOT, it dosn't.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
A few months ago a car was parked in my street right on a junction and it caused traffic chaos at rush hour times! There was a "police aware" sticker on it but it was a good week before it was moved.0
