  • Hey up Greying, RT and EH merci even I was most pleased and yes like fashion items they have seasons, and mine do not go fast. :)

Long day today when I didn't appear to achieve much but I have borrowed some super big ladders at work to try and change bulbs here in kitchen (mega tall) and I've got a load drying and load of washing whirring.

Meals shall be something amazing from the freezer yet to be surfed for.

Couple hours work to do tonight yet.

Bedrooms being tidied for imminent house and mutt sitters :)

Hard life this getting ready for first holibub of the year.

    :)

Must reply to the second hand furniture place that we can get the oven/tower donated and picked up next week and we can do gift aid probably for the first time in my life.

    :D passing it forward.

Yes could have sold it but its huge and they'll make sure someone can use it.

Had enough passed to me in my time :)

Which reminds me I need to look for a kitchen table second hand or preloved if poss.

And, I got given the nod to take a few car loads of wood today at work. Mucho happy and gratitudious about that.

Holibobiness is also most exciting - what a great way to start the year! :D

    Hooray to free wood!

We may have to consider using our fireplace as OH just ordered oil for & it was 25% more than last time!:eek::eek: (253 for 500L)

Lamb leg was delicious - himself got all creative & made hasselback potatoes & some slightly strange purple brussels I'd forgotten that we'd picked up in the sticker sales!

Best bit is that like any roast anything, we have enough for two more meals - I'm hoping to strategically leave a cookbook open to a lamb & spinach recipe I used to make as a poor uni student, but using beef, which across the pond was quite affordable! - now as a frugal adultish type person, using leftovers & frozen spinach is the plan!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

(PS - whispers to EH - I'd have been inclined to eat her too - once upon a lifetime ago, roadkill was a real thing - 6 foot of snow for 4-5 months of the year makes one look at food a bit differently)

There was talk of imminent departure on the 5th, so I was thinking it's a week later now, perhaps they might be heading homewards?

  • I saw some Scottish brie in h3ron foods today. It was £1. Seen as how it retails normally for double that, according to the world-wide wonderweb, I guess that's a bit of a bargain....... if you like Brie that is........... _pale_
