I'm wanting to ask OH to buy me an elemis facial for Christmas. There's somewhere near me that does one and I had one once a few years back and loved it.
Hi it means Today's Special Value so the price will go up tomorrow. I've tried quite a few Elemis products but there are only 2 that I consistently repurchase : PCMC and the Balancing Lime Blossom Cleanser. I do also like the Neck and Bust crea but it's really expensive.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I'm starting to rethink my attitude to high end skincare now I'm the grand old age of 29!
I think this is in part because I've joined the Caroline Hirons party - aren't I behind?!
I think finding a few core products that are really decent and suit my skin has got to be better than just constantly buying cheap stuff and rotating it all the time.
But I still feel like I should use up everything I already have so I'm not too sure what to do about it. Plus where on earth do I start?!0 -
Not a bad little gift. If anyone wants the online code it's NOEL and free when you spend £45. I also got a voucher for £10 off in December.
So glad I didn't end up buying in store today as I didn't know about this! I've been looking at a couple of the gift sets but couldn't decide between them so I left it. Will order online instead and do this code, I think. Thanks Valm!0 -
I have a few UUs to report:
7. The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream mini WMBA. I liked this but kind of used it as a primer rather than an actual moisturiser. Wasn't moisturising enough on it's own but my make up went on top of it really nicely.
8. Rodial Stem Cell Cleansing Cream WNBA as a full size. This was a magazine freebie. I would buy it again in that way but not full size/price.
9. Nude by Rihanna EDT sample. WNB. Disappeared within minutes of putting on.
10-11. L’Occitane 5 Essential Oils Shampoo and Conditioner WNBA. These smelt lovely and my hair feels ok after using them but the conditioner especially is not heavy duty enough for me. These 35ml travel sizes from last year's advent calendar barely managed one wash for my hair.
Also TA a EDP sample of Agent Provocateur Fatale. I'm assuming this had gone off. It it hadn't, it was absolutely vile!
One IN. I gave in to Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel.
Hope everyone's had a nice weekend!0 -

I'd still use up what you have but just swap in some higher end well researched and tested options once things run out. Also you can't go too far wrong with a nice serum or facial oil!0 -
Hello all.
I used to post a while back, but fell off the no spending wagon and then lost my log in.
Found myself getting far too excited about hitting pan on an eyeshadow a week or so back and no one else found it half as exciting as I did - so I'm now back seeking other like minded folk, with a new account and a list as long as my arm of products to use up!
UU this weekend: Urban Decay Brow Beater, Aveda Shampure travel size and mini conditioner from a hotel stay.
INs: Pureology strength cure gift set - really struggling not to buy all the beauty gift sets in the shops at the moment!0 -
Another two UU's:
Waitrose Pure Cleansing Wash WMBA - bought this when it was on offer for £1. Nothing special but didn't irritate my sensitive skin and used in the shower in the morning.
Pro Formula Radiance Cleanser - WNBA - Nothing special. Creamy formula which worked fine to remove my eye make up but wouldn't use as a face cleanser as think it would block my pores / not clean as well as I need!
Does anyone use Liz Earle Eyebright to remove eye make up / mascara? I have one in my stash and wondering how to use it up.0 -
For the first time ever in my life, I've just finished a shampoo and conditioner at the same time! I also started them at the same time as I'd used samples to plug the gap! I think this may be as I'm doing a swimming challenge so have been shampooing my hair twice to get rid of the chlorine!
So, up to 5 UUs for the month after finishing my Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine shampoo and conditioner.0 -

I agree about finding key items that work. Saves so much money in the long run. I'd still use up what you have unless you feel a particular product is causing problems. What skin concerns do you have? Once you've pinpointed this have a look at various websites and see what range(s) fit your budget and address your concerns. Look at reviews. Makeupalley is great because reviewer's skin types are included. Post on here for our views.
For me a product's value (after effectiveness) is how long a pot/tube will take to UU. For example some years ago I tried Gatineau Force Collagen serum. It was gorgeous however the full size only lasted me a month. It was £50 at the time so for me this is poor value as I don't want to spend £50 a month.
I was chuffed at the weekend to be able to buy PCMC at a reduced rate as its a HG and once you've found your HG there is bound to be a way to source it cheaper.
Saying that though be careful of EBay as if it's too good to be true it will be. I pulled out of purchasing some PCMC yesterday. I had joined a thread on QVSell for items being sold from the Elemis TSV. I posted that I was looking for multiple pots as I wanted 5 in total. Someone posted that they had 4 and she then PMed me her details. She then said she didn't know what the postage was and asked if she could get back to me on Tuesday when she had visited the PO. I agreed. She later PMed me asking if I was ok with the fact that the PCMC was not from the new kit but 4 months old. I told her that no I was not ok with it as she had posted on the TSV thread and she should have posted there on that they were older and the price she is charging should reflect this. It just set off alarm bells that she was having this conversation with me via PM and as I said to MRM I only have her word to vouch for how old the product is.
Anyway have managed to get 4 pots in total now.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

You're welcome. I think maybe L'Occitane didn't have many people taking advantage of the discount iwith the last free gift because it had to be spent there and then.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
