The most cost effective would be a haggle over the package you already have. (see threads on here)

It certainly can get cheaper, and much cheaper at that. As teddysmum says it's simple to haggle to get big discounts. I have the package you have but without multiroom and it only costs me about £30ish a month.

As to whether the Sky Q will be more or less than £95, you'd need to speak to Sky. They may have offers on, they may not. If you've always gone along paying full price you may find they are limited though.
  • Just cancel and wait for the win back team to call you.

Sky Q does cost less for customers who currently have more than one multi-Room subscription.

However, I don't recommend it purely as a money-saving option because it's still having problems with bugs.

As others have advised, there is more money to be saved by cancelling. You're certain to be offered a retention deal far in excess of any saving through "upgrading" to SkyQ.

It may be at the moment, but once they have you, you suck up the price rises or leave and cannot go back to the old setup, which also allows you to keep the box for Freesat type viewing.
  • In terms of package costs, you're free to call up and see what they can do to reduce it for you. As for upgrading to SkyQ, the package costs are identical, the only real difference is an upfront cost for the boxes.

Also, as the box remains Sky's property, you cannot use it to view free satellite content once you unsubscribe.

I always love these statments! People spend their free time doing all sorts of things to relax and enjoy. Some go to the football, some the pub. Others go on holiday, or perhaps out for dinner. Some, believe it or not, like movies, sports or TV programmes. Maybe, just maybe paying £1200 a year on TV might be less than you spend on you free time. Perhaps the OP is a better moneysaver than you, or perhaps they have more money than you.

Lets not judge or make comments about peoples choices that you know nothing about.
