I have also worked out that by the end of the year, I will have tipped the scales and have more in savings than in debts - ah-maz-ing.

That's brilliant, well done Laura! I've been lurking on your thread - and love your enthusiasm and the odd dodgy pun :D

dodgy? Whose puns are you calling dodgy Poddle!! LOL :) yeah, I guess they are kind of dodgy!

Welcome to the thread, No Money Monday has gone well, not a penny spent at all.

Tomorrow is normally Tuesday Frug-day, but it's also payday so I have to get !!!!!! done. I can't wait to get my overdrafts gone.

Sadly, I am pretty sure that I wont be getting my bonus in December, but who cares. I am sure that I will get it in Jan. Either way - I might be moving to a new company in the new year with a much better pay packet.

OR, if we can get a mortgage offer and buy a house then I wont care about any of it because I will be off having babies!!!!!!!

Also - got my giant sausage roll in the oven with some roasted root veg. DELISH!

I have got my focus very clearly on this time next year - I can picture it now; we will be in our house in the country, eating the eggs from our hens for breakfast, with a baby hopefully on the way. That is all I care about :)

What is everyone else's motivation to keep going?

You are firing through your debts! Go girl!

My motivation is a tricky one. I need to not only get out of debt but boost my income. But self employed with a new business so hours put in don't necessarily equate money out. So just have to keep on keeping on!

    MORNING!

    It's PAYDAY!

Woke up early and CANCELLED MY OVERDRAFTS, then PAID MY CREDIT CARDS and UPDATED MY SIGNATURE!

    Now, I only have;

    - Lloyds loan - (£680)
    - Halifax CC - (£1164)
    - Barclaycard - (£375)

Still have £980 in my main account, but only £400 is for spending and I am tracking that VERY closely!

This is the lowest my debt has ever been, it was around the £5k mark once (couldn't tell you exactly how much, as I was burying my little noggin in the sand big time).

I really want to try and squeeze a little bit more out of this pay - so out of my £100 a week spending money, if there is any left over, I am going to pay it off of my Halifax card! Fingers crossed and I will be debt free in just a few months!!!!

I hope everyone else's morning is going as SWIMMINGLY as mine :)

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite being payday - it's still Tuesday Frug-day, so no spending today.

Got some eggies for my lunch and a roast chicken for dinner - how about everyone else?

I don't think I have ever had so much £ left over before payday before - it's amazing. Just got to keep powering through, and think about all the spare cash I will have when I am debt free.

Just like that. That is what I will feel like.

Thank you so much Mysteek - that is very sweet of you to say - Mr B89 calls me "relentlessly" or "aggressively" optimistic! :)

Congratulations on paying off all your debts - I bet it feels amazing!

Came home from work-ON PAYDAY- to eat lunch, and I had eggy bread (avec sugar and lemon) and a MASSIVE mug of tea. So yay for being DELISH and yay for having an NSD on payday - which should really count for like 5 regular days IMHO!

Work is going swimmingly - looking over my numbers, and there is a good chance I will be getting some bonus next month (this relentless optimism makes me a great sales manager!) so I am digging my heels in and making it happen.

Next week, we have our staff do. I will not be buying a new dress (a total first for me) but, I am up for an award that if I get will mean a 10 day, 5*, all-expenses paid holiday (THAT DOESN'T COME OUT OF MY HOLIDAY ALLOWANCE) in Feb. My OH, who also works at the same company, could also win this (there are several winners). I have got my fingers crossed SO HARD right now.

Work is going well today (as you can probably tell) and the HR issues have kind of been resolved and I think that everything is coming up LAURA!

Ahhh... I feel VERY productive. Had a great day at work, feeling much more confident about my bonus for October :)

    Also - bought some xmas pressies;

    - Dad - book £5 amazon
    - Nephews (2 of them) - practical jokes £10 amazon
    - Niece (1/3) - Bath stuff £9 amazon
    - Fabric (to make little bags with) - £15 (4 x fat quarters - ebay)

I already have mum, 1 sister, 1 nephew and 1 little bit for Mr B89 SO I am pretty close to being kind of DONE!

    Just need to get:

    - House sign for the in-laws
    - 1 x sister
    - 3 x nieces
    - 1 x OH
    - little bits for the make-up bags (3 x friends, 1 x sister)

    :D:D:D

Feeling very MSE and organised - I usually go a bit mental at Christmas and spend a fortune - especially if I got paid a big bonus.

I still have £100 budgeted next month (15th Dec) to get anything else that I want to buy - I am hoping that I can save a little from my weekly spending to help towards a few little other bits and bobs!!

Not a non-spend day in the sense that I did buy some things, but all budgeted for and nothing for myself - so I am feeling very happy about it all!

Hope that you are all having a wonderful Tuesday - I certainly am celebrating a successful day with the holy grail of dinners: MIDWEEK ROAST DINNER and a cheeky glass of rose (£2,49 from lidl - tastes like strawberries - I have a VERY unrefined palate for wine, on account of having anosmia - no sense of smell!! Fun fact for you!)

Hope you're all having a great day - is all the Christmas shopping going well??

I am excited to get out my HOME MADE decs this year once again - I will post a pic to show you once they are up!

Wow imagine winning a 5 star holiday! That's like my dream!

I agree that a NSD on payday is pretty amazing. Fighting that feeling of 'I deserve this' and winning. Go you!
