Ok guys, today was an expensive day... I had to pay for our invites and to give notice - I am so skint now until the middle of February. Need to be really careful and make sure that we have no more extra spends this month :/

On the bright side I took my dress to get altered today, and it's going to look amazing!!

Hope everyone's day is going well :)

Thanks M2G - yes, I am so so so so so happy that he is committed to getting rid of the debts and is keeping to his budget!!

Ahh, Bob, you're so sweet. I am so excited about wearing my dress for a whole day - it's so pretty. Beads, tulle, train - ahhh!!!!!

Made beef stew for dinner tonight - MY GOD I make a good stew- even if I say so myself. Which I do.

I bought myself a new nicer dicer this week (the old one broke!) and I did not realise how reliant I am on using it - I actually love it so much. This new one made quick work of my swede for the stew - which I normally HATE chopping up.

It's 5 months today until the wedding - I am feeling really excited now, especially now we should be in our new house when we get married :)

What are you all having for dinner??

  • Beef stew sounds good. We ended up having pancakes. Children's request and they helped to make them!

Pancakes for dinner - sounds amazing Honeysuckle :)

Tonight we have had shepherd's pie - half lentils, so tasty :)

I am really trying not to give in to the post-dinner chocolate cravings.

No news on the house as yet, but it's looking good for December bonus - which is paid in Feb. And frankly... I think I am going to struggle without it with everything that I have to pay for!!

    How's everyone else's week going?

  • Hi Laura!

Post-any meal is when I always get the chocolate cravings - I really find it hard not to have something after every meal, even, I'm ashamed to say, occasionally breakfast :o But if the kids have been up in the night then you've got to get a bit of extra energy from somewhere, right?!

Shepherds pie sounds yummy. It was an easy tea in our house tonight because I was at work all day - so turkey stew from the freezer and HM bread with lots of butter :) Kids loved it and I was pleased because eldest was off school again with poorly throat so I'm hoping there is something medicinal in the turkey stew - they do say that don't they?

Great that you are looking to be on track for getting your bonus - it's amazing you are paying for a wedding, getting rid of your debt and buying a house all at once - wow!
