Amazon high returns email

50 % of these purchases were very late delivery. We not talking 1 days but 3 day.
Now, you previously specified that the reasons for the returns was "I’ve ordered stuff present for Birthday parties and it’s arrived late which I had to buy from the high street etc"
So you were clearly time-bound with the items you have returned which were late (4 or 50%). Now:
1. Being time-bound was your problem! Nobody made you buy gifts which were needed within 1 day but which were useless within 3 days.
2. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me (ie why did you order a 2nd, 3rd or 4th time if you were aware of possible late deliveries from the 1st late delivery?)
So, aside from the fact that you've got to explain the other 50%, I think you also need to justify why you continued to order items with the knowledge that delivery may not have taken place within 1 day...
That's why you need to explain yourself to Amazon to avoid a ban.0 -
I've lost count of the number of purchases I've made from Amazon or Market Place over the years, apart from groceries and clothes virtually everything comes from Amazon. I have returned 1 item as faulty, 1 as unsuitable, and claimed for 1 not received (from China).
You are obviously a last-minute shopper or buy on impulse then regret it one. Perhaps a little more planning or the High Street would suit you better?
I don't ever recall any purchase from Amazon being late - they generally turn up either early or on time.0 -
Ive only ever done one return for an item that would not work properly
Apart from that I always plan purchases
It's not just Amazon who are clamping down on serial returnersEx forum ambassador

they also cited one of the items wasn’t resell able, even though I reported it faulty & that is how I got it!0

I completely agree with you... how dare a customer who has paid Amazon £79.50 for next day delivery expect Amazon to actually provide next day delivery.0 -

Would a faulty item not normally be unsellable?0 -

Errrrrr..... if it's faulty then by definition it would be unsalable or are you saying that Amazon deliberately sends out faulty goods????0 -
Any advice?
If you pay for Prime via an annual subscription don't renew it. Only pay monthly, as I have heard that Amazon have cancelled annual subscriptions and given no refund for the unused part.
If you want to keep using Amazon then accept you will need to change your buying habits so that your return rate significantly reduces.0 -
This was a thread recently - not sure if it was in Consumer. There was some speculation about the percentage of returns it took to get a ban, but I think it was about 10%.
You complain about Amazon taking the p*ss - too many consumers do likewise buying 3 sizes of shoes and keeping the one that fits for example.
They have every right to stop you shopping there just like a real shop can stop you coming in if they want to. Amazon shopping isn't one of life's necessities.....
If I were you I would buy a quantity of low value items right now and don't return any to bump up your percentage.0 -

Indeed, I (genuinely! No sarcasm in my post) completely agree with you! The customer should quite rightly expect items to be delivered within the specified time-frame (which may be a day). Serious questions need to be asked about their Amazon Prime subscription!
BUT common sense dictates that if your first item is late then you should probably plan a bit better with your next orders. OP failed to plan and as such a number of returns were partially the fault of OP.0
