Amazon returns email
Hope this is the right section. Today, I have received an email from Amazon about my return rate being high they also cited one of the items wasn’t resell able, even though I reported it faulty & that is how I got it!
I am an Amazon Prime member. Over the last few months I’ve used amazon more as looking after my sisters children. A lot of stuff I have kept, some of it I have returned (as kids changed their mind though items not used), but some of it the deliveries have just been too late. I’ve ordered stuff present for Birthday parties and it’s arrived late which I had to buy from the high street etc. Even now I ordered something on Thursday meant to be delivered Friday, then it was today and still hasn’t arrived today.
The email seems a bit threatening, but I assume standard wording. Amazon asking explanation for each return. I have already put this in the notes, when returning the items.
Has anyone on here had this from Amazon. What is the best way to deal with this?
Personally I am p***d off with Amazon anyway as this Prime isn’t what it’s cut up to be and I live only 6 miles from the main distribution centre.
I have been refunded for these returns. However, I don’t want amazon debiting my card if I don’t reply satisfactory to this email.
Any advice?

what reason did you state for returns and did you pay the return postage?
You are allowed to return what you like under the distance selling rules, but these rules do state the cost of return is down to the buyer.
If you have returned all your items for free/reduced cost I can kind of see why they are asking.
I have prime I have never had a late parcel, it is not always next day but it clearly states this in the delivery time scales.0 -

Take care.
The wrong answers could well see your Amazon account being terminated.
If you are happy without shopping at Amazon ever again the no need to heed this warning.0 -
I paid for all of the postage on these items back. Apart from the ones which Amazon were really late on delivery for.
I have given all the answers in the notes. I am not providing anymore.
I do feel this is bit of a p*ss take especially as delivery times have not been met which Amazon have stated.
If they terminate the account, I'll be more careful in the future and use my sisters.0 -
That's ok. You're welcome.0

Thanks for the replies.
I'll write a letter as a whole, but I'm not breaking it down into every single item. About 8 returns in 3 months.0 -

Why not? If you don't play the game then you run the risk of getting yourself banned.
If I was a CS agent (which i have been in the past) and I had asked for a breakdown of all 8 items, your email would really not sit well. It would be 50-50 as to whether a ban is imposed or a "flag" was put on your account.
The fact that they are ASKING you is clearly demonstrating that they have not yet made up their mind about your return habits but they are concerned. You have to tread carefully from now on.
Frankly, if you are having so many issues with Amazon then I implore you to stop ordering from them. Stop relying on them for birthday presents etc when you are time bound (your fault!) and when your service is below par!0 -
When my Prime deliveries are late I give them a call, tell them I'm disappointed and they automatically offer to add a free month to my membership. As a percentage of my deliveries this is a tiny failure rate and has always been with the rare item sent via Royal Mail tracked. Are you sure that the delayed deliveries were all Prime next day as I've had some that have been shipped from various European branches of Amazon and others which have had a longer delivery window due to high sales volumes (Prime day, black Friday) - though it always says it will take a few days longer.
Have a search on here and you will find several threads where customers have had their accounts closed by Amazon. They have also been known to close other accounts associated with the same address, to prevent people creating a new account/using another family member's.0 -
I have already provided the breakdown it's in the notes section of every purchase. I was very good at leaving detailed responses in order to prevent any real comebacks.
50 % of these purchases were very late delivery. We not talking 1 days but 3 day. I am paying prime for fast service not service I can get as standard delivery.
I'll write to them but in truth I feel they already made their mind up whatever I write.0 -

The reason the email seems threatening is because it is, very much so.
They close serial returners accounts at the drop of a hat as you are not profitable. Every item you return costs them postage and manpower to deal with the return. it may be your right under CCR's but they don't need to sell to you.
They simply don't want you so be careful or not only will you account be closed but everyone in the same household as they ban the address.0
